This document summarizes several important festivals and holidays celebrated in Spain. In our country, the “Book Day” is very simple.
All the years, people of Spain, bought books.The last
week of April.

3. BOOK DAY
The International book day was created to promote
reading, the editorial industry and to proyect
intelectual property rights it take’ place’s on the 23 of
April every year.

4. CHRISTMAS
In Spain, the night of 5th January is the most
important , because “The Three Magic Kings.”
We celebrated the Christmas in family.
We eat fish, meat and turkey cook. Too, we eat “Turrón”.

5. CHRISTMAS
Christmas is a religius and cultural holiday enjoyed by
millions of people around the world. On the 25 of
december we celebrate the birth of Christ and Santa
Claus brings present’s if we are good.

6. SAINT JOHN
This is the festival of Saint John, is a very old festival
which on the 24 of June celebrates the summer solstice
with bonfires.

7. CARNIVAL
The spanish carnival takes place at the begining of lent
where people wear fancy – dress and masc. In “Cádiz”
there are competitions for the best silly song.

8. EASTER
Easter is a Christian holiday where we remember
“Jesus” death and resurection.
The date changes every year.

Every town and villege in Andalucia has ist own “feria”
or fair .
The first “feria” takes place in seville in April
