The way in which brands communicate, and how consumers live their lives, is of significant importance to each entity. However, now, more than ever before, the two have become intertwined. This is resulting in one of the biggest developments that the advertising and marketing industry have witnessed in this generation. In a world that is increasingly lacking relevance and individuality, brands and consumers are constantly seeking to be heard amongst the crowd. Over the years brands have stressed the importance of listening to their customers. However, simply listening to customers is now being called into question, and instead the idea of working alongside them is being considered.
The modern consumer relishes having more power than ever before and they are willing to use this new found control. Brands can no longer ignore this development, and indeed, should not try to ignore it. There are significant benefits to brands and consumers working together in order to learn more about each other. One huge benefit of this is the potential for organisations to change and structure the way in which they do business, not just how they market and advertise themselves. This collaboration of brand and consumer is now more commonly referred to as Co-Create, a methodology which embraces the collaboration of both brand and consumer and delivers mutual benefits for both.
This study will research the effects that Co-Creation has had on the advertising and marketing industry. Furthermore, it will establish the key contributing factors that have given rise to Co-Creation, and how its methodology is implemented. An investigative case study and interviews are used as the basis for the research in this study. This provides highly informed data which will be used to conduct a thorough analysis and draw an educated conclusion on the topic of Co-Create.

When the speed of employee learning needs to keep pace with the digital transformation of organizations large and small, the solutions are far from obvious. Digital transformation is changing the learning and development function and the role of the CLO. It is as much about strategy and culture as it is about technology. So how does the learning and development function enable successful market and organizational change in the digital era? This webinar will focus on three core areas of technological and functional change for L&D: how to facilitate organizational change with cross functional collaboration; how to create learning experiences using AI; and design thinking and agile approaches and how to avoid common pitfalls. The speakers, Amy Loomis and Robert Burnside, bring direct experience from their years of work in the industry and through current consulting engagements. Loomis led the development and instantiation of IBM’s Think Academy and Burnside was Ketchum’s CLO. Join them in a conversation on how L&D can build resilient organizations that are well equipped to navigate the demands of work in the digital era.

Designing your Social Media Presence
Introduction
The head of your company passed you in the hall and asked, “Why couldn’t I find you on LinkedIn? I want to make a connection with you!"
Companies are expanding their use of social media to external stakeholders for a variety of reasons, including, as cited by Social Media Today (2014):
· Customer Service – successful use of social media provides channels to customers that allow for real-time communication that can be used to
· answer questions
· solve problems
· support the sales process
· convey care for customers
· solicit customer feedback
· Brand Building – by increasing exposure through more channels brands can be strengthened by
· building awareness and identity
· associating a “voice” with the brand
· reaching more customers
· enabling competition with larger companies
· expanding reach to global markets
· while making relationships more personal
· Reputation Management – through monitoring of online presence that enables companies to
· become more accessible
· drive more traffic to web presence
· link to other partners
· respond swiftly to negative comments and complaints
In addition, companies are employing social media internal to their organizations. Towers Watson (2013) found in their surveys that “56% of the employers surveyed currently use various social media tools as part of their internal communication initiatives.”
· Internal Communications – serving as official and unofficial channels of communication for the purposes of
· sharing company-wide official information
· introducing and reinforcing company culture
· facilitating communication among employees across organizational boundaries
· supporting collaborative work
· building a sense of community
There has also been a rise in “social recruiting,” employers, recruiters, and job seekers employing social media to find jobs and hire candidates.
· Recruiting – by performing web searches
· Employers and recruiters seek out prospective employees to obtain more information about them, both professional and personal; examine examples of their past work; and gain insights into potential “fit” with the organization
· Job seekers are using social media to gather information on potential employers, checking their outlets for information company culture, management, benefits, and employee opinions
A survey of recruiters reports that overwhelmingly, recruiters who use social media use LinkedIn to post jobs, search for candidates, contact candidates and do pre-interview vetting (Jobvite 6th Annual Social Recruiting Survey). A new survey from Careerbuilder found:
· 43% of employer respondents use social networking sites to research job candidates, and that
· 51% of those employers who researched job candidates found content in their profiles that ...

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
