A young man with special abilities commits a petty crime and must face off against a militarized police force. After being underpaid for construction work, the man throws a brick through his boss's window. When police drones respond to the call, the man's friend is shot and killed, causing him to unleash his powers against the drones and a police helicopter. One officer allows the man to escape, leaving his fate uncertain.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

Code 8
1. A desperate young man possessing special powers
clashes with a militarized police force after
committing a petty crime.
https://www.shortoftheweek.com/2016/03/29/code-8/
2. This short film is a hybrid of science-Fiction and a dystopian
Drama. This is clear from the initial quote “4%of people
posses abilities”, telling the viewer that this film is about
humans with powers. The use of modern technologies that
have not yet been invented, for example the drones carrying
robot police, show the viewer that the film is set in the
future. I really like how they have used special effects, yet
the plot, acting and dialogue is not effected.
3. We follow a male character who has abilities, that we don’t see
entail the end, as he struggles though life to get money to his
bills. Him and his friend get a job in construction for the day.
They get under payed so the main character throws a brick into
the bosses window, and they both run away. The crime was
reported, and the two were stopped by police drones. Then a police
car comes to question and later restrict the men. One officer is
itching to arrest them and the drones end up shooting the friend.
This caused the main character to go into a rage, and electrocute
the drones and the helicopter. The other police officer “allowed”
him to run away, leaving the ending open.
The equilibrium is at the beginning when the main character is
looking after his family. The destruction is him throwing a brick
into the window, followed by the recognition if the disequilibrium-
when the police drones are called. As it is a short film the climax
is at the end, rather than there being a new/restored equilibrium,
the disequilibrium just lingers.
4. The main character is the career of his elderly nan and
brother, earner and friend. This make us feel sorry for the
character as he has little, and even then some thing else is
taken from him. There are only two females in the film, one is
the voice from the drone. This could represent women as
bossy, because you only hear her giving instructions. The
other women is the old lady, who we only see briefly.
The main character is the hero, according to Propp’s narrative
theory. He is seeking a better life, where people like him are
treated better. The villains are the drone police, as they shoot
at pair, causing the helper to die. The police officer who lets
protagonist go is the dispachture. There is no donor (as they
already have magical powers). As it is a short film there aren't
as many characters as character types, therefore typical
characters such as the princess and her father aren't included.
5. The structure of the short film is chronological. It uses cause-
effect logic because we see a large pill of bills, and then him
persuading a construction worker for a day job. He gets bill
and then we see him try to pay them off. Later he busts open a
window, then the police come to arrest him. It is very fluid and
reasonable.
6. It is not specified what age rating the short film has, however I
think it is around a 12-15, due to the violence and language. I
think this is a very masculine film, as it is violent and has a
lovely bromance. The film received 8. 1/10 on imdb, proving
it’s popularity. I really loved this short film, the actors are well
known, and in several films that I love. For example the main
character was in “Duff” and the police officer was in “Fast and
Furious”. I liked that the ending was left open, meaning a
possibility to more of the story, as it was so enganging.
7. The film was distributed by YouTube, and features on many
short film websites. As YouTube is free to use, and allows for a
possible income, the company can only make money form
putting their film out there. However this can lead to
plagiarism and illegal downloading as any one can take it.
