The Senate Remains Frozen In
Gridlock On A Controversial New Bill
Washington (DC), America (CNN) -- The floor of the Senate has begun
to heat up like a skillet the past few weeks with the introduction of a new
controversial bill. The bill, which proposes new limitations on various
healthcare benefits for those from lower socioeconomic areas, could
have a severe impact on millions of Americans. Many Americans are
highly upset with the possibility of the new bill passing, claiming that the
Senate, primarily the Republicans, is trying to declare war on the middle
class. The floor has become nothing less than a battlefield as the Repub-
licans claw at the throats of the Democrats in efforts to kill the bill. Molly
Robertson, a Democrat from Arizona, has stood on the front lines of the
issue, acting as a voice for the middle class.
When asked for any comments about the issue, Senator Robertson
responded with the following: “Though the Republicans have continued to
attack us publicly on the controversial bill, we Democrats will continue to
stand strong, in both our beliefs and in our actions. The Republicans are
bubbling with anger at our resilience, however we will stand up for what
we believe is right for the American people.” In response to Senator Rob-
ertson, Republican Jesse Hobbs, from Maryland, stated that “the Demo-
crats are simply resetting the clock on a political ticking time bomb; the
issue is going to detonate at some point in time, and both sides are going
to be bombarded by the backlash.”
The Senate is scheduled to vote sometime within the next two
weeks.
