FB Vs ORKUT...

Facebook was launched in 2004 and became the dominant social network worldwide by the late 2000s, while Orkut was most popular in India and Brazil. Both sites allowed users to create profiles, share content and connect with friends. However, Orkut lacked privacy controls and its interface became cluttered over time. Meanwhile, Facebook continually improved privacy settings and rolled out new features like chat and video calling. By the mid-2010s, usage of Orkut had declined significantly as more users migrated to Facebook for its stronger privacy protections and more engaging interface.

The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community.
