- Club IT has been focusing on restructuring their IT systems and implementing new systems into one seamlessly program. The projects that have been completed are running well. The decisions to implement a wireless order-taking system, an executive dashboard and inventory system will be discussed and analyzed, in order to determine rather or not the systems are feasible. Each phase of the systems development lifecycle will be explained to help with the decision making. Recommended is the outsourcing method for the project because this will allow Rueban and Lisa to spend their time and focus on other business issues. It will save costs and there are experts to rely on.

- The above intangibles should be considered, when implementing the wire-less order taking system. E.g., By reducing labor by one person, that will save $34,708 over three years on labor compared to the system only costing $35,000 for the installation. Reducing labor will also have a positive effect on reducing on overhead. Although additional equipment and software cost may occur, the wire-less ordering system still reduces cost, when compared to not having one. The system may become obsolete in three years but if the business needs don’t change than the system is still ok to use. If there are technological advances, like credit card purchases, than Club IT would need to upgrade it’s system to allow the new program. Implementing a wireless order-taking system would be a beneficial move for Club IT. In the long run, they will cut costs and increase profits.
- After researching the various executive dashboards, I concluded that the IBM Cognos 8 BI would be the best suited dashboard for Club IT. The information that I found that would be most useful for the company is the IBM Cognos 8 BI will enable Lisa and Rueban to set targets, see results and see what is successfully running the company; identify and analyze trends to take opportunity; and make decisions based on the data (http://www.ibm.com/us/en/). Graphs and other visual aids will help put an accounting’s, customer’s, or employees’ data into a format that is rapidly comprehended. IBM Cognos 8 BI will allow Club IT to monitor all functional areas at once. By doing so, better management can occur because of better control of the overall business process. - Outsources employ the services of other vendors to gain benefits or to take care of business concerns. By outsourcing, the move from fixed to variable cost and the predictability of the latter can be achieved successfully. Operating leverage is stronger because the money that is saved can be applied to other operating expenses. Club IT will be able to focus on its core business processes. Customer and vendor quality can also be improved because more attention can be focused in that direction. One of the greatest benefits of outsourcing is the operational expertise that is available. Any problem or issue that arises can be addressed in a timely manner. This will help keep the company abreast at all times because problems can be corrected with little interruption. - The project will proceed through the many phases of the SDLC. Club IT will be able to initiate its needs by understanding the importance of implementing IT within the business organization, in order to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Planning will involve research on what software programs are the best to use or should the program be developed for the company. Buying a off-the-shelf program will cut costs and time. Club It would benefit more from buying the software programs so the business data can be developed into the program. After that takes place, testing and implementation can occur, if all is performing to satisfactory. The latter phase will be the operation and maintence phase. - To conclude, through the implementation of an executive dash board, wireless order-taking system and inventory system, Club IT’s business plan should operate in a effective and sufficient manner. The entire business process and functional areas will be able to collect and process data through a seamlessly IS. Club IT will have an advantage amongst other night clubs, due to its sophisticated system. In time, through proper business management and a functional operating system, Club IT will be able to expand by opening multiple locations.
