AN APPROACH FOR A BUSINESS-DRIVEN CLOUDCOMPLIANCE ANALYSIS COVERING PUBLIC SE...ijmpict
The need for process improvement is an important target that does affect as well the government processes.
Specifically in the public sector there are specific challenges to face .New technology approaches within
government processes such as cloud services are necessary to address these challenges. Following the
current discussion of „cloudification“of business processes all processes are considered similar in regards
to their usability within the cloud. The truth is, that neither all processes have the same usability for cloud
services not do they have the same importance for a specific company.
The most comprehensive process within a company is the corporate value chain. In this article one key
proposition is to use the corporate value chain as the fundamental structuring backbone for all business
process analysis and improvement activities. It is a pre-requisite to identify the core elements of the value
chain that are essential for the individual company’s business and the root cause for any company success.
In this paper we propose to use the company-specific value-creation for the “cloud-affinity” and the
“cloud-usability” of a business process in public sector considering the specific challenges of addressing
processes in cloud services. Therefor it is necessary to formalize the way the processes with its
interdependencies are documented in context of their company-specific value chain (as part of the various
deployment- and governance alternatives (e.g. security, compliance, quality, adaptability)). Moreover, it is
essential in the public sector to describe in detail the environmental / external restrictions of processes..
With the use of this proposed methodology it becomes relatively easy to identify cloud-suitable processes
within the public sector and thus optimize the public companies value generation tightly focused with the
use of this new technology.

This paper describes the results of a theoretical mapping of the cybernetic principles of the Viable System Model (VSM) to an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) model, with the aim to identify the management principles for the integration of services at all levels in the enterprise. This enrichment directly contributes to the viability of service-oriented systems and the justification of Business/IT alignment within enterprise. The model was identified to be suitable for further adaption in the industrial setting planned within Australian governmental departments.

This paper describes a systematic six-step data-driven simulation-based methodology for optimizing people-based service systems on a large distributed scale that exhibit high variety and variability. The methodology is exemplified
through its application within the printing services industry where it has been successfully deployed by Xerox Corporation across small, mid-sized and large print shops generating over $250 million in profits across the customer value chain. Each
step of the methodology consisting of innovative concepts co-development and testing in partnership with customers, development of software and hardware tools to implement the innovative concepts, establishment of work-process and practices for customer-engagement and service implementation, creation of training and infrastructure for large scale deployment, integration of the innovative offering within the framework of existing corporate offerings and lastly the monitoring and deployment of the financial and operational metrics for estimating the return-on investment and the continual renewal of the offering are described in detail.

An Analysis of the Existing Frameworks in Cloud Computing Adoption and Introd...IJERA Editor
The coming up of cloud computing in recent years has evolved an interest from different organisations,
institutions and users to take advantage of web applications. This is a result of the new economic model for the
Information Technology (IT) department that cloud computing promises. The model promises a shift from an
organisation required to invest heavily for limited IT resources that are internally managed, to a model where
the organisation can buy or rent resources that are managed by a cloud provider, and pay per use. Cloud
computing also promises scalability of resources and on-demand availability of resources. Although, the
adoption of cloud computing promises various benefits to an organisation, a successful adoption of cloud
computing in an organisation requires an understanding of different dynamics and expertise in diverse domains.
Currently, there are inadequate guidelines for adopting cloud computing and building trust. This paper aims to
evaluating a shortlist of eleven frameworks for Cloud Computing and concludes that none of them addresses all
Cloud adoption challenges fully so that a new framework is required. Later we explain our proposal for the
framework discusses and topics related to the proposed framework.

SYSTEM AND RISK ANALYSIS OF CLOUDMANUFACTURING SYSTEMIJCSES Journal
The Cloud manufacturing(C-Mfg) system involves remote distributed manufacturing resources and
capabilities collaborating as a single virtual entity. The system receives orders for custom products and
provides manufacturing as a service to the end customers. The primary activities of the system, among
others, are transaction control, resource allocation and monitoring, distributed manufacturing, quality
control, and delivery of consignments to the customers. The actual manufacturing is done by a network of
third-party partner manufacturers providing the services to end customers, helping them with cost
reduction, shorter time-to-market, and enabling efficient collaboration between manufacturers in the CMfg network. This paper aims to deep dive into C-Mfg as a system and perform a risk analysis to assess
and mitigate the risks associated with the system. While cybersecurity and data security-related concerns
are deemed the most serious and need immediate management for the system to succeed, the control of
data, compliance with manufacturing standards and guidelines, and lack of accountability and ownership
are other serious risks that need significant attention. Identifying these factors will help channel the focus
on the management and resolution of these risks to establish digital trust in the C-Mfg system leading to
the system’s success.

Cloud computing is receiving an increasing level of attention, as evidenced by the rapidly growing number of qualitative surveys and analysis that has been published over the past few years.
Cloud computing is a paradigm shift organizations use the computing resources to conduct their business. Cloud computing is a new general purpose Internet-based technology through which information is stored in servers and provided as a service and on-demand to clients. The computing resources are accessed by mainstream businesses as a pooled or leased resource over networks. Hence traditional IT investment decisions models are not directly suitable to perform the cost-benefit and investment decisions for cloud computing resources.
This paper presents research on the return-on-investment and pricing models and seeks to build a model for quantitative assessment of cloud computing.
The results of this analysis model are intended to facilitate a more informed decision making for cloud computing resources.
ABSTRACT: Cloud computing is an emerging computing paradigm for delivering computing services over the Internet. Most chemicals companies still are at an early stage in their adoption and usage of cloud computing. Their migration to cloud computing is not a question of "if", but "when." Monitoring assets in remote locations, round-the-clock surveillance, and remote access to data are some of the key factors that are prompting the chemical industry to rethink about the adoption of cloud technology. This paper provides the benefits and challenges of adopting cloud computing in chemical industry.

Simulation in the supply chain context: a survey

Abstract
The increased level of competitiveness in all industrial sectors, exacerbated in the last years by the globalisation of the economies and by the sharp fall of the final demands, are pushing enterprises to strive for a further optimisation of their organisational processes, and in particular to pursue new forms of collaboration and partnership with their direct logistics counterparts. As a result, at a company level there is a progressive shift towards an external perspective with the design and implementation of new management strategies, which are generally named with the term of supply chain management (SCM). However, despite the flourish of several IT solutions in this context, there are still evident hurdles to overcome, mainly due to the major complexity of the problems to be tackled in a logistics network and to the conflicts resulting from local objectives versus network strategies. Among the techniques supporting a multi-decisional context, as a supply chain (SC) is, simulation can undoubtedly play an important role, above all for its main property to provide what-if analysis and to evaluate quantitatively benefits and issues deriving from operating in a co-operative environment rather than playing a pure transaction role with the upstream/downstream tiers. The paper provides a comprehensive review made on more than 80 articles, with the main purpose of ascertaining which general objectives simulation is generally called to solve, which paradigms and simulation tools are more suitable, and deriving useful prescriptions both for practitioners and researchers on its applicability in decision-making processes within the supply chain context. # 2003 Elsevier B.V. Introduction Modern industrial enterprises operate in a rapidly changing world, stressed by even more global competition, managing world-wide procurement and unforeseeable markets, supervising geographically distributed production plants, striving for the provision of outstanding products and high quality customer service. More than in the past, companies which are not able to revise periodically their strategies and, accordingly, to modify their organisational processes seriously risk to be pulled out from the competitive edge. In the 1990s, companies have made huge efforts for streamlining their internal business processes, identifying and enhancing the core activities pertaining to the product value chain, and invested massively in new intra-company information and communicat.
In a business world, handling multiple tasks with multiple enterprises practically
is common. Cloud manufacturing (CM) is one of the service oriented paradigm to
support for handling multiple tasks and multiple enterprises at the same time. The
service oriented cloud manufacturing integrates and distributes manufacturing
resources, transferring them into service for manufacturing industries as a
manufacturing service and manages the service centrally. In cloud manufacturing
platform, cloud manufacturing allows multiple users to request multiple services at the
same time access the task in parallel by submitting their requirements. In this paper
we consider the Customer Order Scheduling Problems (COSP) in cloud
manufacturing. Here scheduling plays dynamic role in cloud manufacturing since
multiple tasks for multiple users become chaotic for computing in cloud
manufacturing. Based on this idea, we worked on the process of Service Selection and
Optimization Scheduling Problem (SSOSP) for Small and Medium Manufacturing
Enterprises (SMMEs), which is an important issue in practical implementation on
cloud computing. We adopted mixed integer programming problem with mixed
composition structure for SSOSP. In mixed integer programming, cost, time and
quality are the main objective with incorporation of transportation time and
transportation cost along with manufacturing cost and time. Finding optimized
makespan of this SSOSP, we used fuzzy based min-max rule algorithm. The
experimental result shows the benefit of the proposed method and the result concludes
that the proposed algorithm can obtain high quality achievement with reasonable
computation time.

Technology organization environment framework in cloud computingTELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
Cloud Computing is a rapidly emerging technology over the last few years, that has
abolished the burden of purchasing heavy hardware and software. Cloud computing
has been advantageous to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), though many
SMEs have not adopted to delve into its appealing benefits. To increase the cloud
adoption rate in these Enterprises, the most important thing is to understand the
aspects which influence the cloud adoption. The article focuses on these factors, which
influence the use of cloud services by establishing the three layer hierarchical framework
based on the grounded on the Technology Oriented Environmental (TOE)
framework through systematic literature review. Because cloud-based solutions offer
numerous benefits for companies, they have precious cloud determinants. This paper
therefore took into account the Technology Organization Environment TOE model for
Cloud Computing adoption. In addition, the questionaries designed at the end also
indicate the significant connection in the decision of adoption between three context
of TOE. Moreover, the designed questionaries has been used for the analysis of cloud
computing adoption in Bangladeshi SMEs.

Hybrid optimization of pumped hydro system and solar- Engr. Abdul-Azeez.pdffxintegritypublishin
Advancements in technology unveil a myriad of electrical and electronic breakthroughs geared towards efficiently harnessing limited resources to meet human energy demands. The optimization of hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems plays a pivotal role in utilizing natural resources effectively. This initiative not only benefits humanity but also fosters environmental sustainability. The study investigated the design optimization of these hybrid systems, focusing on understanding solar radiation patterns, identifying geographical influences on solar radiation, formulating a mathematical model for system optimization, and determining the optimal configuration of PV panels and pumped hydro storage. Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for advancing energy research in economically viable areas. Recommendations included conducting site-specific assessments, utilizing advanced modeling tools, implementing regular maintenance protocols, and enhancing communication among system components.
