Cleveland-Based Learning (CBL) is a program that promotes the exploration of downtown Cleveland landmarks through the lenses of history, social issues, majors, and group participation. Students work in groups to familiarize themselves with a landmark using online resources, explore the site together, develop research skills to find relevant articles on their topic, and present their findings at the end of the semester along with a individual reflection. The program guides students through each step of the process, including brainstorming activities, article evaluations, work sessions, and presentations.
