Cleopatra is the daughter of Ptolemy XII Auletes She had Two older sisters Cleopatra VI and Bernice IV and a younger sister Arsinoelv  Then she had two younger brothers Ptolemy XIII and Ptolemy XIV
Ptolemy died in 51 B.C and handed his powers to the hands of his daughter Cleopatra VII Cleopatra, following Egyptian tradition married her little brother Ptolemy XIII (10 years old) Cleopatra was really smart, she knew a lot about literature, mathematics, astronomy, and medicine She also had an amazing talent, she could easily talk to people from neighbouring countries without translators  Cleopatra was also the first Ptolemy to speak the Egyptian language
Politically she ruled with the help of her officials  She kept a good eye on the Greek governors who were in charge of the other parts of the countries  Cleopatra also had to face the jealousy of her sister, Arsinoelv who also wanted to rule the country too
When Cleopatra became queen she rapidly tried to solve the conflict witht the Roman Empire  Two powerful leaders are trying to get power of the Roman Empire : Pompejus and Julius Caesar.  Cleopatra then gave some Egyptian soldiers to Pompejus  Romans didn’t appreciated what Cleopatra did Cleopatra was thrown away from her thrown and left the town When she was gone her brother had full power of the country
When Caesar became a consul of rome he decided to go to Alexandria to solve the problem between Cleopatra and Ptolemy But then Cleopatra didn’t want to enter the city because her brothers spies would kill her  So she entered the city rolled in a carpet
Caesar then fell in love with Cleopatra, which god Ptolemy XIII really mad.  So then Ptolemy decided to move .  After that Cleopatra was Queen of Egypt by Caesar.  To make Cleopatra’s brother happy Caesar gave him the island of Creta
Alexandria was back in the hands of Cleopatra and Caesar stayed because he was Cleopatra’s protector. When Cleopatra when back she married her youngest brother Ptolemy XIV (eleven years old)  During that time she was pregnant bye Caesar and gave birth to a son Ptolemy XV also called Caesarion or Little Caesar.
44 B.C Caesar was stabbed at a Senate gathering and Cleopatra went back to Egypt. 42 B.C Cleopatra met Mark Antony who was in control of the Roman Empire.  She used her charm to get her a relationship with Mark Antony  Antony spent winter in Alexandria at Cleopatra’s side because Cleopatra was pregnant with twins She gave birth to a boy Alexander Helios and a girl Cleopatra Selene.
Because of Antony’s extra affairs, the Roman Senate declared war on Egypt. Octavian (Cleopatra’s enemies) took the opportunity to start a campaign against his brother in-law and Cleopatra  32 BC Rome declared a war on her.  33 BC They managed to defeat Mark Antony Cleopatra unexpectedly withdrawn from the battle
August 10, 30 BC thinking that Cleopatra died , Mark Antony committed suicide.  Cleopatra according to legend committed suicide by putting an asp (Egyptian cobra) to her breast. Cleopatra’s son by Caesar, Caesarion was called pharaoh by Egyptians  But Octavian captured him and executed him  After the death of Caesarion, Octavian called himself “Pharoah of Egypt”
After Death After she died Octavian (Cleopatra’s Roman enemy) spread tales about her  Those tales then turned into legends and the legends grew through the writings of Shakespeare.  There are also many film versions of her story.

With the death of Cleopatra the whole era in Egyptian history was closed Cleopatra was named to be the Last Pharaoh of Egypt
