3. Angle Snow
by Samantha Collinsworth
Oh there are many kinds of angles,
On square, trapezoids and triangles,
And how I would like to show,
Angle Snow! Angle Snow! Angle Snow!
This kind of angle is smaller you see,
Always smaller than 90 degrees,
It’s called ACUTE , now you know,
Angle Snow! Angle Snow! Angle Snow!
Another angle is 90 degrees
You may say RIGHTangle if you please.
It looks like the corner of a square.
There may even be a small one there.
The last angle is bigger you see,
It is larger than 90 degrees,
It’s called an OBTUSE now you know.
Angle Snow! Angle Snow! Angle Snow!
5. Just like other mathematical concepts,
angles are a big part of our lives. One
example is if when we tell the time of the day.
For analog watches and clocks, we tell time by
looking at the placements of the shorter hand
to tell the hour and the longer hand to tell the
number of minutes. Opening the door widely
or slightly also involves angles and so much
more.
6. What is an angle?
In geometry, an angle is a figure
formed by two rays with
common endpoint, and which
are not on the same line. The
two rays are called the sides of
the angles while the common
endpoint of these two rays are
called the vertex.
7. NAMING AN ANGLE
We can name
angles using the
symbol "∠“ to
denote an angle
and these three
different ways

10. The Measure of an Angle
Have you wondered how wide the
opening of a door should be by the time
you open it? Door openings are like
angles and the openings of angles are
measured in units called degrees.
15. I. Identification. Give what is ask.
1. This is an angle that measures 90o
2. It is the common endpoint of the two rays of an angle.
3. It is the figure formed by two rays with a common
endpoint.
4. An angle that measures greater than 0 o but less than 90o
5. An angle that measures greater than 90o but less than
180o
6. It is a measuring device used to measure angles.
16. II. Identify what kind of angles given the
measurement of the angles.
