Each myofibril consist of a no. of two alternating
bands called sections , segments or disks.
Two bands are :
1. LIGHT BANDS OR ‘I’ BANDS
2. DARK BANDS OR ‘A’ BANDS
The portion of myofibril in b/w two ‘Z’ lines is called
SARCOMERE.
