Through the CLASS Project, 16% of Oregon students across 12 school districts will have the opportunity to learn in schools where teachers lead higher achievement. The project impacts 18% of Oregon teachers, 15% of ESL students, 18% of low-income students, and 16% of minority students. Low teacher retention costs Oregon $45 million annually as nearly 40% of teachers leave within 5 years and 53% of teachers are over 50 years old.
