What Did We Learn?
WHAT DID THE STUDY FIND?
PURPOSE
To explore an
association between
e-cigarette use and
Quality of Life (QOL)
among college students.
Findings indicate that
lower quality of life
appears to be
connected to tobacco
use.

E-CIGARETTES
E-cigarettes create aerosol. A battery
powers the device and heats up liquid that
usually contains nicotine, flavoring and
other additives.
Users inhale this aerosol into their lungs.
E-cigarettes can also be used to deliver
cannabionids such as marijuana, and other
drugs.
9
E-CIGARETTES ARE ALSO CALLED:
• VAPE PENS
• E-CIGS
• TANK SYSTEMS
• MODS

WHAT DID WE WANT TO LEARN?
I WANT TO LEARN:
Data shows use of e-cigarettes
among middle and high school
students increased dramatically
in the recent years.
• Study the impact of social
platforms in increase in the
use of e-cigarettes in youth.
24
Most students’ health problems
associated with asthma, etc. are not
usually tied to smoking due to age.
• Collect the self-reported
symptoms related to e-cigarettes
among youth on social media
platforms to study the effects.
