The Ipsos Mori 2017 survey of 2,195 adults in Great Britain reveals a recognition of a national housing crisis (74% agree), but only 41% perceive a crisis in their local area. Concerns about affordability have increased, with many feeling it’s harder to buy or rent now compared to previous generations, and 23% fear they may have to move due to high housing costs. Furthermore, a strong consensus exists regarding the right to decent housing and the belief in government action to remedy housing problems.
