Students will study the key differences and similarities between Earth, the Sun, and the Moon through a WebQuest research project. The WebQuest provides information about these important celestial bodies in our solar system, their locations relative to each other, and why each one is necessary for life on Earth. Upon completing the research, students will understand our dependence on Earth, the Sun, and Moon and how they compare.

Intro: You’re now an astronaut and will go on an extraordinary mission but do you know where the
Earth, sun, and moon is? That’s where you are being sent so let’s learn a little bit more about these
important places space.
Task: You will conduct a research project on the Earth, Sun, and Moon using only a WebQuest. All the
information is on the WebQuest so that’s the only place you need to be. You will learn the differences
and the benefits from each of the locations as well as why we need each and every one.
