This document discusses two significant events in the life of Christ - the Transfiguration and the Ascension. The Transfiguration is recorded in the synoptic gospels, where Jesus' appearance changed dramatically in the presence of Peter, James and John. Theologically, it revealed Jesus' deity and glory, confirmed Peter's confession of Him, and encouraged the disciples for His coming passion. The Ascension marked the climactic end of Jesus' earthly ministry. It ended His humiliation and the period of His earthly ministry, opened the way for the Holy Spirit to come, and was the first time resurrected humanity entered heaven as Christians' intercessor.
