Christ The King Chapel
Christ the King Chapel at Mercyhurst University incorporates various artistic media to tell the history of the Sisters of Mercy congregation. A large mural at the center celebrates Christ as King and depicts the Sisters' mission of providing corporal and spiritual mercy. It was created by Rambusch and includes figures of important religious figures. Stained glass windows illustrate biblical stories and the 14 Stations of the Cross are depicted in beautiful mosaic artwork. The chapel aims to create an aesthetically pleasing environment representing the historical background of Mercyhurst College.
