international charities. One of these is the
Texas-based nonprofit Children at Risk, which
works for the benefit of children in areas
including public education, human trafficking,
health and nutrition, and parenting. Each year,
Children at Risk holds a golf classic for their
benefit, which Leland Turner has participated
in for the past three years.

3.  Children at Risk’s 15th Annual Golf Classic
occurred on May 11, 2015. The tournament, hosted
by Melissa Wilson of Fox 26, featured surprises of
an activity or gift at each tee. The event, which
took place at The Woodlands Country Club,
wrapped up with cocktails, dinner, and a live
auction. The 16th Annual Classic is set to take
place on May 16, 2016, again at Woodlands, with
Melissa Wilson returning as host. This year’s
tournament will offer all of the sponsorship
opportunities of past years, with the addition of a
$625 individual sponsorship. All players will
receive lunch, dinner, and goody bags for
participating.
