project. Each report is customized to include: reiteration
of scope, detailed specifications, firm quotations from
multiple qualified vendors, CCG recommendations and a list
of all supporting data and references. Once a CCG report is
produced, the client has everything they need to move
forward with implementation. The report is beautifully
bound with photographs and divided into clearly defined
chapters. The writing is clear and simple and is provided

Mr. Brand was called by the
Shedd to troubleshoot a coating
installation problem. The backside
of the new shark exhibit needed
to be coated black or dark blue,
in order to provide visual depth
to the exhibit. He specified the
complete removal of existing
failed coating and successful
application of a remedial coating.
The specification was followed
and the problem was solved.

ABOUT THE PRINCIPAL
Warren Brand founded CCG after being involved in the coatings industry
for more than 25 years. Starting as a field laborer, he worked his way
through every aspect of industrial coating, including blasting, spraying,
outfitting trucks for coating applications, training and hiring field
personnel, writing OSHA safety and confined space manuals and hiring,
training and maintaining a successful sales, marketing and coating staff.
Through his experience at Chicago Tank Lining, Inc., a highly successful
industrial coatings company founded in 1959, he has worked with
hundreds of products, coating companies and application techniques. He
has worked in every aspect of coating and has personally lined, supervised
or managed thousands of coating applications and projects. He received
an MBA in Entrepreneurship which has been instrumental in giving him
added focus and insight with each individual project. “Each project is a
completely new undertaking, and must be addressed as such,” observes
Mr. Brand. “I believe each project has certain truths associated with it.
Once we’ve discerned what those truths are, then the options become
very few, very quickly.”
Mr. Brand received his undergraduate degree in journalism and wrote for
a daily newspaper in California for several years. As an award winning
newspaper reporter, he honed his craft and skills as a writer and
researcher. In addition, Mr. Brand holds the highest certifications from the
coatings industry's top professional organizations, SSPC-PCS#2011-816-212
and NACE-Level 3 #139826, and also has his Black Belt in ParaCombatives
Ju-jutsu and is an instructor with the Northwestern University Ju-jutsu Club.
