About Us
At the Bend-Tech Group we design,
manufacture and supply engineered Safety
Systems: including Handrails,
Work Platforms, Stands and Lights.
We have in-house fabrication, bending
and processing capabilities able to create
you customised solutions.

Bend-Tech Engineering started out as a small family
run company over 28 years ago, providing quality
bending, curving and general metal fabrication and
quickly grew into one of the most respected and
sought after suppliers in the steel processing and
fabrication industry.
Our expertise and dedication to customer
satisfaction, as well as a no-tolerance policy in terms
of quality, has made us one of the preferred suppliers
for many major industrial and resource companies.
A recent integration has given the Group a platform
to continue to excel and develop.

We have designed, engineered and manufactured
our work platforms to reduce the risk of working
at heights and to allow easy manoeuvring around
machinery to conduct maintenance.
There are situations on mine sites, industrial plants,
construction sites, etc. where access to areas on
equipment would be dangerous to worker well-
being.
Our safety work platforms help to make this aspect
safer and provide maximum productivity with minimum
effort or risk from the top level of the platform deck.
Our range of platforms have been designed to
enable workers to have improved safety whilst
performing tasks at height, whether it is using
Access platforms, Inspection platforms or platforms
custom designed for specific tasks.

To ensure that safe working loads are handled
correctly, we have a certified range of Work Stands,
Racks and Material Handling and Transportation
solutions available. From Free Standing Steel racks to
General Purpose Stands and through to Heavy Duty
Support Stands.
Bend-Tech has also engineered several attachments
for forklift trucks for changing out spares on heavy
duty equipment and to enable equipment, spares or
general items to be transported safely and securely
around site, further reducing the risks to employees
and contractors.

Applications
Within the Moddex range of handrails and balustrades
we can cover all applications from disabled access,
heavy duty rails and bike safe barriers, to trolley bays
and guardrail systems.
For marine and coastal applications or areas exposed
to high levels of corrosion, a range of aluminium and
stainless steel handrails and balustrades, together with
magnesium alloy components, are also available.
With the range of Handrail and Balustrade systems
available through Bend-Tech, you can ensure the

Welded Handrails
Safety is continually on our minds, from the design and drawing of the steel handrails,
through to the bending, fabricating and surface treatment stage. We are focused on
delivering you a product that allows easy on-site installation and a large cost saving,
as well as the option to buy straight off the shelf.
By having the ability to create fabricated and finished handrail panels and sections,
we can reduce the lead-time required on your project. Our range of welded handrails
gives you the reassurance of the quality required with a safety critical product. Our
in-house designers and engineers can work with you to create your own cost effective
handrail or barrier solution. We also have the ability and experience to source the steel
tube and components and effectively manage the complete project and supply chain.

Through our strong relationships in the Mining industry, we have created a selection
of safety rails for mobile equipment that enable safe working conditions for people
needing to access high parts of vehicles for repair and maintenance. These safety rails
are not exclusive to the mining industry and vehicles and they can be utilised in any
industry where there is a requirement for workers to access certain parts of machines,
vehicles and equipment that may be at an unsafe working height or walkway.

To complement our handrails we have introduced
several gates in to our range, including large road
access gates, self closing gates incorporated into
the handrails and pallet loading gates for mezzanine
floors.
As well as our pre-engineered stock gates we can
also custom design gates to suit your individual
application. Whether your requirement is to control
access, improve safety or streamline efficiencies

Bollards
Where safety or security are paramount then our range of bollards could be the
answer to your problem. We have standard commercial products available off
the shelf that stand up to 1100mm tall and enable you to guide traffic, protect
valuable assets or create safe pedestrian areas. Should your application be more
specific then our custom made industrial bollards are designed and engineered to
meet your own size, specification and finish requirements.
Whether you require bollards filled with concrete, bollards with removable
stainless steel sleeves or be able to unbolt and relocate the bollards elsewhere we
have the experience and expertise to help.

What this means for customers is that our team
can create custom metal fabrication projects on
the size and scale you need. If there are no off the
shelf solutions, we can tailor-make the one that is
right for you.
We employ several highly-skilled engineering
personnel and our fabrication team has certified
welders that work with aluminium, stainless steel,
carbon steel and structural steel.

Pipe and Tube Bending
For smooth, distortion-free bends, especially when
specifying a tight radius or thin wall material, Bend-Tech
recommends and uses Mandrel pipe bending; a process
whereby the tube or section is supported internally during
bending to prevent the flattening or collapsing of the wall
maintaining a consistent radius when the pipe bends.
Whether the order is to bend sections that are round,
square, rectangular, oval or a specially shaped tube, our
Mandrel bending machinery will guarantee excellent control
and accuracy each and every time.
In addition to traditional pipe bending, Bend-Tech can also
offer expertise in the production of coils and spirals for light
domestic to heavy industrial applications. Our company
has supplied finished works for heat transfer, slurry lines,
subsea power transfer and high pressure fluid conveyance.
In the case of continuous coils for heat exchangers or
boilers, Bend-Tech can supply either in segments or in one
piece to suit customer requirements.
Section Rolling
We can readily manage works which include the rolling
of standard structural shapes such as pipe, angle, flat,
channel, UB’s and UC’s.
These can be rolled into simple circular shapes or if
required, to complex curves, which includes spiral, cones,
ellipses or more complex geometric shapes. Rolling can
be performed to drawings, templates or samples.

Plate Pressing
Bend-Tech’s comprehensive plate pressing facilities
can accommodate a broad range of applications in a
number of materials including:
Hard steel - Mild steel - Stainless Steel - Aluminium
We guarantee production of finished products within
precise tolerances each and every time. From the
production of steel channels, transitions and pipe clamps,
through to pressing for service vehicles and heavy plate
cone pressing. More importantly, with programmable
settings and depth stops, we ensure batch quantities will
always be identical.
Plate Rolling
For Bend-Tech, plate rolling is a core competency. We
have the capabilities, with our multi-axis plate rolling
facility and the expertise of highly skilled personnel, to
routinely guarantee consistency, accuracy and quality
for your sheet and plate rolling needs.
We understand that you need confidence in the quality
of the products you work with and we strive to provide
the very best heavy plate rolling service in Australia. We
can handle plates up to a width of 3200mm, cutting the
plate to a length determined by customer specification.
In addition to basic rolling assignments, we offer:
