ChemXSeer is a search engine and repository for chemistry documents that was created by researchers at Pennsylvania State University. It provides full-text search of documents as well as specialized searches of author information, tables, figures, chemical names, formulas, and expertise. The system was built using open source software like Solr/Lucene and draws on past funding from the NSF and Microsoft as well as current support from Dow Chemical.
