The UK Non-Profit Sector's Graduate Scheme called Charityworks is a 12-month paid placement program within a charity or housing association that offers professional development, mentoring, three research assignments, and placements across the UK. Charityworks aims to provide an entry route into the non-profit sector for graduates by offering 150 graduate trainee positions in 2015. The program boasts a 100% employment rate with 98.3% of trainees employed within the non-profit sector and 66% directly employed by their placement client.

• Practice practice practice!
• Go over your application with a careers advisor
and others – more eyes/ views on it the better
• Don’t undervalue your own charity/volunteer
experience. Be proud of what you’ve done and
be prepared to talk about it.
• Be specific about your preferences when it
comes to stating them at the final stage.
