THE EFFICACY OF POLICE VISIBILITY IN ROBBERY, THEFT INCIDENTS IN

CHAPTER 1
The Problem and It’s Background
Introduction
The researcher evaluate illegal actions of a few have seriously harmed the
integrity of the Philippine National Police. To prevent crimes and uphold law, order, and
safety, it is necessary to increase police visibility in Barangay 180, Zone 16, District 2,
Tondo, Manila, to reclaim the public's trust and confidence in this law enforcement
organization. The Philippine National Police's strategy for preventing crime can and
does suffer significantly from law enforcement's ubiquitous presence in their separate
regions of duty. The presence of police gives law-abiding citizens a sense of security
and assurance that they may call them when needed, and comfort that they will be able
to respond to any circumstance.
In this research entitled barangay 180, Zone 16, tondo, manila police services in
conducting visibility patrol the researcher would like to find out the efficacy and impact
of patrolling to the community of barangay 180, fondo, Momly if it has the some result
as the research study conducted in las pras city even though both places deals with
different problems in terms of coume.
Furthermore as stated by Mojares, (2017) this research would like to emphasize
the efficacy and impact of the visibility patrol in barangay 180, Zone, 16, District 2,
Tondo, Manila City the insights. of residents living here who had direct experience in
system of police visibility
Background of the Study
In order to identify and address crime and improve the quality of life in the
neighbourhood, Philippine national police authorities cooperate to maintain police
visibility in the community. The Philippine National Police's mission included reacting to
citizen concerns about crime and public safety, carrying out crime prevention
programmes, and maintaining the quality of life. In order to maintain good relations
between the police and the community, effective policing on police visibility inside the
community is crucial. An essential component of sustaining peace and order in the
community is enhancing the efficacy of law enforcement in upholding the law. It may be
strengthened even more by launching initiatives that will encourage residents to trust
the police. when everyone feels secure.
Theoretical Framework
Research into public expectations of policing has previously highlighted a strong
preference for a highly visible presence. However, when these views were explored in
more detail, it was discovered that people's seemingly instinctive reaction to call Police
Detective was motivated by a desire to see crime reduced. The study also suggested
that the police can help ensure the public accept and support the targeting of resources
in high priority areas by engaging them in a dialogue although, in providing this, seeking
the most effective ways to address the demands placed on the police, police
organizations apply various approaches and concepts. By strengthening democracy,
with a particular emphasis on the human rights of all community members, in particular
the most vulnerable ones, community-oriented policing is developing, which a shift from
traditional is policing. This means that it leads to changes in the functioning of the police
in a way that the police, in addition to its traditional control function, have also acquired
a protective role.
Conceptual Framework
This study was based on the underlying theories and concepts toward the police
visibility in the community in terms of their duties and responsibilities in their respective
areas, such as patrol strategies to crime prevention and control, maintinance of peace
and order and other policy services to the satisfaction of the public

Statement of the Problem
This study aims to determine the radius of police visibility in Barangay 180, zone 16,
district 2, Tondo, Manila City and level of community's peace and order.

Barangay 180, zone 16, district 2, Tondo Manila?
officers in terms of:
1.1 Crime Response
1.2. Police Patrolling
1.3. Crime prevention.
1.4. Check Points..
2. Is there significant relationship between the extent of police visibility in
Barangay 180, zone 16, district 2, Tondo, Manila City?
3. How do the body worn camera improve the relationship of police officer in the
community?

Hypotheses of the Study
There are the existence of efficacy of police visibility in robbery, theft cases, the
purpose of preventing policing is to make people feel safe and comfortable in their
communities and to deter crime and that the police officer's are available to respond
when called upon any situation
Scope and Limitation of the Study
Only the police visibility range in Tondo, Manila City, as well as the
community's peace and order would be the subject of the study. It would be held at
Tondo, Manila City, specifically for the selected people in one Barangay 180, zone 16,
district 2. Only five police officers and ten (10) community members were allowed to
participate in this study, and they were selected at random. Statistical analysis was
applied to the respondents' responses, including frequency, percentage, and correlation
coefficient.
As criminology students of Phinma saint jude college, this research entitled in
barangay 180 satisfaction on Tondo, Manila city as to the efficiency and effectiveness of
manila policy shall be conducted within manila city for the researchers to the appropriaty
and rehable soures of data or information that would satisfy the objective of the
research.
Significance of the Study
This study is significant for the reason that the result would be of great
importance to the following persons:
Community. This study will able to impart the public to feel safe in their community. To
make them understand that police policing such as their being visible publicly is not to
driven fear but to make them safe when they notice a police officer nearby.
PNP Personnel. This will provide the PNP the opportunity to improve the community
policing by becoming a more capable, effective and credible local police. This will also
provide the PNP the opportunity to improve its strong partnership with the varied
stakeholders and their action plans to criminality and ins urgency.
Students.The student who wanted to conduct a study of this problem for them to go
into depth study and in giving same technique or ideas on how to conduct the study.
This study will probably help them in identifying problems and also for them to discover
a new problem that will lead them to their effective study.
FutureResearchers.It has been looked forward that the study wouldserve as reference
material when other researchers would be conductingsimilar and related studies.

Hypotheses of the Study There are the existence of efficacy of police visibility in robbery, theft cases, the purpose of preventing policing is to make people feel safe and comfortable in their communities and to deter crime and that the police officer's are available to respond when called upon any situation Scope and Limitation of the Study Only the police visibility range in Tondo, Manila City, as well as the community's peace and order would be the subject of the study. It would be held at Tondo, Manila City, specifically for the selected people in one Barangay 180, zone 16, district 2. Only five police officers and ten (10) community members were allowed to participate in this study, and they were selected at random. Statistical analysis was applied to the respondents' responses, including frequency, percentage, and correlation coefficient. As criminology students of Phinma saint jude college, this research entitled in barangay 180 satisfaction on Tondo, Manila city as to the efficiency and effectiveness of manila policy shall be conducted within manila city for the researchers to the appropriaty and rehable soures of data or information that would satisfy the objective of the research.
