Rationale
Practice teaching is an important part of teacher training. It is a combination of
observation and teaching experience which will give students opportunity to put the theory of
teaching into classroom practice.
The student teaching field experience is a culmination of many years of directed
coursework and preparation for a career in teaching. The time has finally arrived for student
teachers to develop and demonstrate competency in teaching through the application of the
knowledge and skills learned.
