As soon as I get home from work, I turn on the TV because I want to know
what’s on the news?
When friends come to visit, we usually turn the TV off and just talk.
When I don’t like a TV show, I change channels and find another program.
The commercial are very loud, so I turn down the volume when they come on.
I prefer to study in a quite room, without the TV on.
To find a good program on TV, O don’t look in the newspaper. I usually just
channel surf until I find something interesting.
I don’t like to exercise or go out; I prefer to stay home and watch TV. I guess I
am a couch potato.
It’s easy to change channels with a remote control.
I think TV is very entertaining and educational, but other people think it’s a waste
time.
I watch 20 hours of TV during an average week.

Bruce: Yeah, I noticed that. Channel surfing drives me crazy.
Jack: Okay, next time you come over, I’ll let you have the remote control.
Bruce: Oh, that’s so sweet. But I have a better idea. Next time I come over,
let’s just turn the TV off.
