This slide share is to showcase a few things that I have been working on in the media center summer 2014.

2. All technology was collected,
catalogued/barcoded, checked out and
sorted for redistribution.
This summer I worked on weeding and
condensing the reference section to make
room for a professional library within the
media center. We have tons of PD materials;
however they were stashed in the book room.

3. The professional section is all set up and
ready for checkout.
It took quite a bit of time. The reading
section is separated further by fluency,
phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary,
centers, shared/guided reading, etc. The
boxes I repurposed from old discarded kits.
I covered them in bulletin board paper.

4. Here are just a few of the items that I
weeded and set aside for resale.
A selection of dictionaries and thesauruses
were retained for use inside the media
center.

5. While I completed my inventory I found tons
of items that were barcoded incorrectly and
not in the online catalog. Here are just a few
of those items. They shall bere-catalogued.
The reading area is finally set up. My
husband and I purchased the two striped
chairs and table at a local thrift store. The
chairs were cleaned and reupholstered and
the table was refinished. The fabric was
purchased at JoAnn’s.
