by people that matter. “My father inspired me to read law,”
he recalls. So Shreyans enrolled for BA. LLB (Hons) at the
National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata,
achieved his degree in 2008.
During his graduation, Shreyans did multiple internships
with various renowned lawyers, including Prateek Jalan,
Advocate Supreme Court of India (March – April 2006);
M/s Karanjawala & Company, Law Firm, New Delhi (April
– May 2006); Dr Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Senior
Advocate, Supreme Court of India (March – April 2007);
and Singhvi & Co, Law Firm, Kolkata (October 2007 –
March 2008).
Armed with a degree from a prestigious law school,
Shreyans embarked on a path that would lead him to
reshape the landscape of legal practice in New Delhi. “After
graduating, I started my practice as a Counsel under the
tutelage of Mr Sabysachi Chowdhury, Sr. Advocate,” says
Shreyans. He kept practising as an arguing counsel at the
Calcutta High Court. He also prepared legal documents and
written pleadings for court cases.
“My routine also included,

realistically achieved.

Ÿ Looking for evidence that will back up a client’s case.
Ÿ Researching precedents in law libraries and then using
the finding to provide a defence for their clients and
support their cases in court.

support a client’s case at court, tribunals or public
enquiries.
Ÿ Monitoring and being in control of all phases of a court
case.
Ÿ Cross-examining witnesses.
Ÿ Meeting clients and solicitors to obtain more

Ÿ Involved in researching relevant points of law,”
mentions Shreyans, whose commitment to continuous
learning, coupled with a thirst for knowledge, laid the

In 2012, Shreyans shifted his practice to New Delhi under
the guidance of Mr Kailash Vasdev, Sr. Advocate (June
2012 to December 2015). “Again, I was practising as an
arguing counsel at the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High
Court and all other courts and tribunals. I was also drafting
legal pleadings,” says Shreyans.
After practising for about three years in New Delhi, along
with a colleague Shreyans Co-founded Mehta & Singhvi
Law Offices, LLP, a law firm, in May 2015. He states, “I
provided legal services in civil, criminal, corporate and
commercial disputes and endeavoured to build long-lasting
relationships with our clients.”

In 2021, Shreyans shifted his practice out of the firm and
commenced independently under Shreyans Singhvi &
Associates. His team comprises of dedicated associates, all
working hard with utmost honesty and dedication.

Law Centre, University of Delhi, he worked in litigation
