Problems with the Current Education System…
Our Vision for Perfect Education will support our Dream Job and also future jobs, future
companies and future societies. We aim to tackle the following problems with the current
education system:
 One of the biggest problems in the current educational system in India is that the
academic knowledge and skills taught in schools and universities has very little relevance
to the skills required in the real world, outside the classroom.
 The teaching system is antiquated and there is very little use of technology to engage the
students more effectively in the learning process.
 Students are usually unaware of their passions and there is no active encouragement to
try and unearth their talents and skills.
 Creativity and innovation are not encouraged within the education system because of an
old-fashioned and unscientific methodology of teaching.
 There is almost no environmental and social sensitiveness aroused in students through
the schooling system.

What do they have to say…
 We conducted a survey of 300 students from different backgrounds –
 92% feel “Education doesn’t have much relevance to real-life problems”
 73% feel “Teaching is dull & mechanical, not much use of technological tools to
generate interests”
 84% are still not sure about their passionate field of study
 Our interaction with professors also revealed similar thoughts on the importance of
bridging the gap between classroom teaching and real life happenings, which can be done by
making community projects and internships a crucial part of the curriculum.
 Mr. Anil Gupta, Chairman of National Innovation Foundation showed keen interest to
collaborate with premium technology institutes of India and involve students directly to
convert hundreds of grassroots innovations carried out in the country into real business
solutions.
 The volunteer teachers at Teach for India, an education NGO, told us how the innovative
use of simulations generated through their I-Pad made the poorest of poor kids from the
slum areas, grasp the concepts of human anatomy very quickly.
 Dr. Chayanika Singh, a child psychologist from Calcutta, India strongly agreed to our
research findings that children were growing to become more and more disappointed with
their bound curriculum in schools which doesn’t give them space to explore their passions
and advised we include mandatory counseling sessions in schooling system.

  • 2. Problems with the Current Education System… Our Vision for Perfect Education will support our Dream Job and also future jobs, future companies and future societies. We aim to tackle the following problems with the current education system:  One of the biggest problems in the current educational system in India is that the academic knowledge and skills taught in schools and universities has very little relevance to the skills required in the real world, outside the classroom.  The teaching system is antiquated and there is very little use of technology to engage the students more effectively in the learning process.  Students are usually unaware of their passions and there is no active encouragement to try and unearth their talents and skills.  Creativity and innovation are not encouraged within the education system because of an old-fashioned and unscientific methodology of teaching.  There is almost no environmental and social sensitiveness aroused in students through the schooling system.

Our Dream Job / Vision… Technology  Virtual Classroom – students from various language, geographical and cultural backgrounds learn together  Mobile Applications – real time quizzes and tests for growing mobile user base  E- Learning – online courses & workshops providing access to best faculties even for students in developing nations Perfect Education Technology Practical Exposure Social and Environme ntal Education Practical Exposure  Internships – get exposure to corporate world and also how social organizations function  Community Projects– solve pressing environmental and societal problems  Summer Camps and Volunteer Work– develop team-work skills problem – solving approach  Student Exchange Program – Experience student life in a new country Social & Environmental Education  Annual Social &Environmental Education Trips – collaborate with social organizations and corporate houses to introduce students to real – world issues  Awareness Drives – Student societies to organize awareness drives in different parts of the country – teamwork & compassion  Field Trips & Nature Walks – sensitize by giving freedom to observe, think and learn

What do they have to say…  We conducted a survey of 300 students from different backgrounds –  92% feel “Education doesn’t have much relevance to real-life problems”  73% feel “Teaching is dull & mechanical, not much use of technological tools to generate interests”  84% are still not sure about their passionate field of study  Our interaction with professors also revealed similar thoughts on the importance of bridging the gap between classroom teaching and real life happenings, which can be done by making community projects and internships a crucial part of the curriculum.  Mr. Anil Gupta, Chairman of National Innovation Foundation showed keen interest to collaborate with premium technology institutes of India and involve students directly to convert hundreds of grassroots innovations carried out in the country into real business solutions.  The volunteer teachers at Teach for India, an education NGO, told us how the innovative use of simulations generated through their I-Pad made the poorest of poor kids from the slum areas, grasp the concepts of human anatomy very quickly.  Dr. Chayanika Singh, a child psychologist from Calcutta, India strongly agreed to our research findings that children were growing to become more and more disappointed with their bound curriculum in schools which doesn’t give them space to explore their passions and advised we include mandatory counseling sessions in schooling system.
