General Overview Of The
System After Implementation

Equal capacity building (training)
 was given to all targeted staff
 of the institution regarding HAMS
 utilization.
Order At Which Staff Training
Was Done
1.Records staff
2. Vital sign staff
3. Consultants
4.Lab Technicians
5.Dispensary Technicians
6.Cashier /Claim Officers
7. Wards staff
General
Impressions/Achievements
Right After The Capacity Building
1.Willingness of all the departmental
  staff to learn how to use the new
  system.

2. Absolute avoidance of double
   registration at records level.

3. Acquaintance of almost all staff with
   basic ICT
Challenges
Now the system is not fully operational
  due to the following.
1. Low network (wireless) transmission
   to link wards to general OPD for
   effective services transaction to be
   carried out.

2. Malfunctioning of some of the report
   forms eg In-patients
   morbidity, doctor’s productivity, lab
   report form ,mission individual daily
Challenges continue

3. Sudden refusal of consultants to
 use the system due to double
 work.

4. Too simplicity of the
 management
Efforts made to addressing the
challenges
1 . Network problem /malfunctioning
  forms reported appropriately.

2. Personal discussions made with
  consultants/management but to no avail

3. Held the departmental heads meeting
 to discuss the possibilities that will make
 the system stand.
Efforts made to addressing the
challenges Continue

4. Inverter is now being fixed to handle
  temporal power outages.

5.The final measure taken is to provide
  data clerks at various consulting
  rooms.
Expectations
1. To seek the views of the participants
   to revamp the system.
2. We need internet facility to help ;
   update antivirus, sent monthly
   reports to CHAG and MOH.
3. Reconsideration of the networking as
   quickly as possible to improve the
   linkage of wards to OPD.
