Cargonaut provides cargo community system solutions that electronically connect various entities involved in air cargo logistics across the supply chain. It processes 70 million messages annually. Its core products and services include electronic data interchange, air waybill management, customs information systems, and track-and-trace applications that facilitate import and export clearance and the movement of goods through the airport. Cargonaut's solutions support entities throughout the import, export, and domestic cargo logistics process at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

Introduction: Since 1986 we aim to create solutions for our clients across the entire chain, using electronic data interchange between airlines, forwarding agents, handling agents, transport companies, shippers, the Customs authorities, and other government services. We co-operate intensively with Air Cargo Netherlands and Customs. The community in 2010 consist of: airlines, freight forwarder, ground handling companies , general sales agents, truckers importers/exporters and Schiphol (local) Customs , national and EU Customs, PD Plant Protection Service; VWA Food and Consumer Goods Safety Authority We process almost 70 million messages per year.

Core products and services in 2010: GENERAL: EDI messaging (Electronic Data Interchange): Any party with a connection to Cargonaut can exchange electronic data with other parties connected to Cargonaut or to another Cargo Community System linked to Cargonaut. Information Broker: Industry Information Broker (IMI) supports and improves the export delivery process. The system allows the various parties to view and send the status of this process before, during and after the delivery of export shipments. Government Information Broker (IMO) supports the import and export process for Government, Customs and inspection services. AIRWAYBILL / E-FREIGHT RELATED: AFRA: AFRA is your own rates database in which you find all your air cargo purchase rates. AWB Manager: The Airwaybill Manager software application is designed to prepare, manage, print and send the Master Air Waybill and House Waybill electronically. AWB Tracking: Airwaybill Tracking is an application that allows you to track your shipments through various measuring points in the process.

Core products and services in 2010 (2) E-AWB: The e-Air Waybill is an electronic version of the printed air waybill, house waybill and consolidation list, and is part of the air cargo export process. E-AWB Report: E-AWB Report allows you to check whether we have received your electronic air waybills and have forwarded them to the handling agent. eCargo Pouch: A central document and message management system for your E-Freight shipments. CUSTOMS RELATED: Cargo Scan: Cargoscan is an application that provides information on scan inspections conducted at Schiphol Airport. CLIENT: It is a system used by the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality for preliminary customs declarations of imported goods to the Plant Protection Service and the Food and Consumer Goods Safety Authority.

5. DGVS: DGVS is a Dutch Acronym for Paperless Goods Movement Tracking System. This system allows companies in the Schiphol area (the DGVS-free zone) to transport goods without documentation. Export Control System: The Export Control System (ECS) allows the Customs authorities to check and confirm if goods designated for export are actually departing the European Union. Cargonaut ensures that clients can communicate with ECS smoothly and efficiently. Import Control System : The Import Control System (ICS) supports the process of importing vehicles and goods (via ports and airports) in order to prevent goods that constitute a security risk from entering the Netherlands or Europe via NL. NCTS: NCTS is the Transit Customs System for electronic customs declaration for the transport of goods subject to the Transit customs procedure. DSI (Sagitta Import) and DSU (Sagitta Export): Douane Sagitta Invoer is the customs system for electronic declaration of imported goods; Douane Sagitta Uitvoer is its counterpart for electronic declaration of exported goods.
