Globalization is a process of integration among people, companies, and governments globally through increased trade and communication, while colonization involves one state extending political and economic control over an area through occupying it and asserting technological or organizational superiority over indigenous populations. Both globalization and colonization involve interaction with and populating areas of people, as well as establishing some form of economic control, but globalization is a more inclusive form of trade whereas colonization is a political and economic domination of one entity over others.
