Sheng-Hua (Patrick) Huang volunteered as a Work Camp Leader from June 12-22, 2016. As a leader, he facilitated a multicultural group of young volunteers on a project with Naturstyrelsen Vadehavet in Denmark. He attended a seminar on leadership, group dynamics, and conflict management and then worked on project planning, execution, and managing the group and their communication with the host and organization. Being a leader provided experience in youth leadership, project management, social skills, cultural understanding, and communication.

A Work Camp Leader facilitates a multicultural group of young volunteers at a local Work Camp project in Denmark in collaboration with a local
organization hosting the project. This project was conducted in collaboration with: Naturstyrelsen Vadehavet.
As Work Camp leader you attend a 1-day seminar at Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke about facilitating multicultural and volunteer groups, leadership types
and styles, group dynamics, and conflict management. Afterwards, in practice you work with project planning, project execution, group management,
and communication and collaboration with the host institution, participants, and Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke.
Being Work Camp leader gives skills within the fields of:
