Letter of recommendation
I am writing this reference at the request of Fofuleng Julius Babila, a
graduate student from Peace and Development Work, Master of Science
program based in Växjö Sweden of which I am one of the program directors.
I have come to know Fofuleng Babila in my capacity as course lecturer and
thesis supervisor during his studies. Based on grades, attendance, class
participation and quality of academic work I have found out that he
performed very well throughout the program
Fofuleng Babila was able to make a profound contribution and
argumentations in class discussion. He displayed good academic writings and
excellent presentation skills and was able to embed the topic he treated in
essays and presentations in the discourse of the course. He masters both
independent work as well as group work which included peers from 15
countries from all over the world. He displayed exceptional social skills and
was highly a appreciated member of various groups, with his energy vitality
and humor.
As his lecturer and co-director of the program, I was able to see Fofuleng
Babila’s progression in fulfilling the challenging course requirement
expected of him. He has shown great depth in knowledge and understanding
of development background including peace and conflict studies,
international relation, inclusive economic and political development, poverty
reduction and livelihood resilience, human rights as well as the management
of political relationship to foster change and encourage development among
other broader human and social conviction. In the more orientated practical
courses develop his skills in policy analysis, negotiations, use of Logical
Framework Approach and evaluation of projects. He participated with
enthusiasm in the field method course where he displayed that he could apply
his skills in carrying out peace and development related work/studies in the
field.
During his study period in Växjö, Fofuleng Babila had the ability to design
research and present his thesis which focused on “The Challenges of Mental

Health Disorder in Cameroon”. It was approved by the Faculty of Social
Science. He defended the project at the end of the program. In all exams,
group assignments, and academic works, Fofuleng Babila develops a deep
knowledge of how to use social science theories and methods. He has
excellent skills to search for information, assess sources, use various theories
methods and critically assess validity reliability and coherence in different
types of text.
Prior to Fofuleng Babila study of peace and development studies in Växjö, he
has a master in strategic leadership towards sustainability from the Blekinge
Institute of Technology Karlskrona, Website: www.bth.se/msls. He
developed experience and skills in advanced societal leadership, Strategic
Management for Sustainability using the Framework for Strategic
Sustainable Development as a major tool. In addition to building his
development experience working in Sweden and Cameroon. He volunteered
with Internationella Arbetslag - SCI Sweden as coordinator for the
integration and rehabilitation of refugee.
Fofuleng Babila has a number of strength to offer and would make a valuable
addition to any team. He is passionate about international development and
always interested in helping others. He is enthusiastic and very well
organized. He is goal orientated, and a real visionary is making a meaningful
contribution to development arena. He is a change agent and engaging with
him has been a pleasant and positive experience. I believe he will be a great
asset to any organization, institution or company engage in business,
humanitarian and development work, consultancies or research.
I recommend Fofuleng Babila without any reservation, and I will continue to
