Developed, implemented and supervised an international development educational
program for youth and specifically gender based programs.
Engaged youth to work on community development projects and volunteer positions

the Youth Criminal Justice act.
Residential Counselor–Choices for Youth, St, Johns, NL▪ 2009– 2011
Supported the permanent residential counselors in a part time capacity and also worked
relief shifts for the counsellors at the Choices for Youth young men’s shelter as well as
the Lilly Building
Assisted in the creation and implementation of the educational programming at the Lilly
building, an initiative that provides longer term supportive housing and skill development
for at-risk and resilient youth.
Employed with outreach and the supportive housing department for two part-time
contracts in 2010
Communication and Development Officer–Katimavik, Halifax, NS▪ 2008– 2009
Coordinated the national recruitment campaign in the Atlantic Provinces. This included
traveling extensively throughout the Maritimes, participating in the 2009 AARAO tour,
and representing and speaking about the organization at numerous events and
functions.
Planned and managed “Katimavik Rocks!” which was a fundraiser for the Canadian
Cancer Society at the Rebecca Cohn in Halifax, NS. This included securing ECMA-
winning artists, development of a corporate sponsorship package and promotion.
Assisted with Project Development in 17 different areas, which included securing
housing and finding volunteer placements in the non-profit sector.

Supervised and oversaw the implementation and programming of three projects in
Mount Pearl, St. John’s and Clarenville.
Responsible for the project development of Mount Pearl as a new location. This
included securing housing and creating partnerships with over 10 non-profits in the city.
