The role and tasks of Mariami Mitaishvili were:

The following summary of Mariami Mitaishvili 's learning outcome is the result of an ongoing dialogue process
between Mariami Mitaishvili and her mentor Ieva Vanaga during the whole activity.
The following description of learning outcomes is a reflection related to the Key Competences for lifelong
learning recommended by the European Parliament and the Council in December 2006.
Communication in mother tongue
During my volunteering in Latvia, I was trying to learn people from canter Georgian language. They were very
exited about Georgian alphabet. Some of them were even saying hello and goodbye to me in my mother tongue.
Communication in foreign languages
During my volunteering in Latvia, I improved English and Russian. I was speaking in organization in Russian,
but with other volunteers in English. Now, after one year being in Latvia, I am speaking much better in both
languages. I learned Latvian and now, I can communicate with Latvian people in their mother tongue.
Mathematical competence and basic competences in science and
technology
During my volunteering in Latvia, I improved my mathematical competences. Because I was counting project's
activate money and budgets. I am now more used for my own money calculation then before. I learned how to
use scanner, printer and other technical equipment. I improved my knowledge in drafting budgets for projects,
in Microsoft office programs and working with documents.
Digital competence
During my volunteering in Latvia, I had great experience in using online resources for projects. Also, I learned
how to gather or exchange information with partners, I improved my critical thinking and became more practical
person.

Learning to learn
During my volunteering in Latvia, I had to make presentations and events, which I needed to organize alone.
Coming out from this I improved my time management skills, skills in processing new information and ability
to use new knowledge practically. I improved my skill speaking in public self-confidently.
Social and civic competences
While volunteering in "Aicinajums Tev" in Latvia, I learned how to resolve conflicts where necessary and how
to make friends with different cultural awareness. I became more tolerant and more communicate. Here I find
really very good friends from different countries. I was always involved in social and civic life.
Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship
When doing my EVS job in Latvia, one of my duties was to realize my own ideas in practice. Coming out from
this, I improved my skills in organizing events, projects and putting one's ideas into practice. I learned how
to put in ideas more creativity and innovation. I learned also to think in advance about risks what can appear
during working.
Cultural awareness and expression
In this one year (my evs time), I learned a lot about cultural awareness. I learned more about different cultures,
about different traditions. In my working time I realized that in using art, music and workshops with disabled
people.
Other specific skills
Most important what I learned while being in Latvia is how to protect my rights, how to work with people who
had different cultural background. I became more practical and more pragmatic. I developed my personal level
to continue my career and private life successfully.
