Cerebellopontine angle (CPA) tumors are mostly benign and occur in the posterior fossa. They account for 5-10% of intracranial tumors.The diagnosis CPA tumors start with the evaluation of patient symptoms followed by a thorough physical and neurological examination of the patient. The specific cause of CPA tumor is not known but they are linked with the genetic disorder neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2).
