Censorship takes many forms including withholding, destroying, altering, or selectively reporting information. Self-censorship also occurs when journalists suppress information due to threats or for perceived safety and security reasons. For example, Mexican journalists covering drug cartels limit their reporting due to threats. North Korean leaders also rewrite the country's history by erasing names from history books. While censorship may aim to protect people at times, it ultimately undermines the media's role to fully inform the public and alter's a society's understanding of history.

Suppressing information in the media, books, etc. Normally the suppressed parts, are
parts that are essential to the news, a good example is something that can reveal a
truth, or a secret.

week, when the reporters were set free by the Syrians all of the newspapers now
reported that he, and the rest of his crew was kidnapped, but are now put in safety.

dangerous, and the FBI may block it. Although they may say that they are doing this
because of our safety, and because they dont want many of the average people to get in
trouble, there is many theories going around saying that they are doing this because
those websites are publishing certain pieces of information that may jeopardize the
FBI, and the US government as well. And this has its certain truth, because there have
been many blogs blocked

Bloggers from North Korea reported that the government has been altering the history
of the country. It has been said that Kim Jong Il, and Kim Jong Un have been erasing
the names of important, historic persons, out of the history books and records. Besides
this being a huge problem to the society of North Korea, this is also a clear example of
how can some people alter the information into their own convenience, and alter the
history of an entire country.

public, sometimes this may be for security reasons.

This special case of self-censorship is quite special, because in México, many of the
reporters that are sent outside of the city to report on the drugs cartels because of the
threats that the cartels are raising on the reporters. And this is a huge problem, because
like in México there are many reporters that feel threatened by other people, so they
don’t report the news to a 100%, they just write what they feel is sufficient enough so
the readers don't raise any questions, but sometimes this is evident. So this proves in
yet another way, how the media can be controlled by some few group of people, and
they don't even have to own the newspaper to do it, just with a threat they are altering
the media.

In conclusion, we think that censoring information is a huge problem in the world, and
it is also very present in all of the countries in the world, the amount of information
that is being censor to us, the readers is ridiculous. And it is even worse that most of
the reporters let it happen. Their mission is to report the truth about what is
happening in the world, but most of the time they only feed a partial truth, or news
that aren't even vital to the world.
