CEIBS, a Chinese business school, entered into a strategic alliance with the Lorange Institute of Business Zurich in January 2015. This alliance provides CEIBS an entry into the European market as part of its goal to become a top international business school linking East and West. The new joint entity, called the CEIBS/Lorange Institute of Business Zurich, will offer new programs focused on doing business in China for executives from Europe and China.

1. CEIBS, the China Europe International Business School enters into a
strategic alliance with the LORANGE Institute of Business Zurich
CEIBS has entered into a strategic alliance with the Lorange Institute of Business Zurich ef-
fective January 2015. This provides CEIBS with an entry to the European market, which is
part of their vision: to become the most respected international business school by linking
east and west. This strategic move will help to strengthen CEIBS position internationally. In
addition, this helps the Lorange Institute of Business to develop its competences when it
comes to China and the rest of Asia. The new business school entity is to be named
CEIBS/Lorange Institute of Business Zurich.
This new arrangement shall have no impact on the current management of the Lorange Insti-
tute of Business, which will remain unchanged: Dr. Philipp Boksberger continues in his posi-
tion as President/CEO and Dr. Peter Lorange remains involved with the new school, now as
its Honorary Chairman.
Founder and owner, Dr. Peter Lorange, feels that this move shall further enhance the con-
cept of the “business school of the future” by strengthening the international network of facul-
ty members and business competences now with an added focus on particularly key markets
of the future, China and South East Asia.
New programs
As of 2015, new programs on doing business in China shall be offered at the CEIBS/Lorange
Institute, complementing the existing programs at the Lorange Institute of Business. The new
business school shall become a major hub for Chinese-focused business in Switzerland, at
least in two major ways:
How to become more successful in the Chinese market, primarily aimed at non-Chinese
executives to strengthen their know-how in doing business in/with China.

Chinese executives, who shall take advantage of the present program offerings at the
Lorange Institute and to strengthen their economic and strategic management know-
how, above all for operating more effectively in Europe.
The Lorange Institute of Business Zurich

CEIBS - China Europe International Business School
