from our technical experts, we have a long

entrepreneurship, finance, arts, music,

A close-knit and extensive alumni network

helping them and tries to bring them
at par with the world's advancements.
NSS functions to alleviate the
overlooked and, in the process, imbibe
a sense of social responsibility among
its volunteers and students, ensuring
the dignity of life for every individual in
the society.
NSS, BITS Pilani, has achieved a
breathtaking pace and has been
undertaking new roles in the form of
various projects and programs in Pilani
and nearby villages. The ever dynamic
outlook of more than 250 volunteers
has a pivotal role in this regard, given
the organization's humble beginning.

4. Conferencia de Youth is an event that
aims to provide a platform to
different organizations that work for
the society for making a significant
impact at the ground level. NSS BITS
Pilani organises this event annually
during Apogee, where brilliant minds
gather to spend time on ideas and
innovation. This event attempts at
bringing exposure to works of social
service organizations and individuals
who embody the gist of helping the
society and growing with it.

7. Auctzone
This competition takes the
participants close to the
intricacies of the organization of
an event. Based on a common
event, some resources (both
capital and commodity) would
be put to auctions on a
stipulated virtual currency. This
would be followed by a short
inter-trade session. In the end,
the team that has optimized its
resources the best and comes
with the best inputs for the event
wins.

8. B-Plan
An event for the budding social
entrepreneurs to present their
business model that can be
implemented into the society for its
overall development in front of
experts. An elaborate problem
statement would be presented to
the teams and a fairly good
amount of time would be granted
to come up with a well-sketched
plan. The online mode for the
same will allow discussions over
meets and breakout rooms
enhancing a detailed analysis of
the plan proposed and direct
attacks on loopholes by the
opponents as well as the jury.

9. Naarabaazi
Naarabaazi is a perfect
opportunity for our participants
to use their grey matter and
come up with attractive and
catchy slogans that interest the
audience. Every participating
team would be provided with an
event that they need to
publicize. This not only would
help the teams to dissect an
event in detail and find an
appropriate marketing strategy
for the same but would also be
a nice drill to gauge the
importance of content and
publicity when organizing an
event.

10. Volunesia
An event to present the
projects undertaken by the
participating social chapters
in a year. This would become
an interesting one keeping in
mind the fact that most of
the work over the past year
has been online. This will help
others to get some fresh
ideas that they may
implement as well for their
respective chapters. It is also
a great platform for
analyzing your work and
current projects.

11. Talk
Keeping ourselves close to the
theme of CdY 2021, we will
organize a talk/panel discussion
wherein we invite personalities
from multifarious fields which will
not only act as a beacon light
for us but also help us analyse
the situation better. Old
speakers include Medha Patkar
(face of Narmada Bachao
Andolan), Shantanu Gupta
(Author), and Nipun Malhotra
(founder-Nipman Foundation).

13. Junoon
A 2-day extravaganza for specially-
abled children to give them their right
to equality and a sense of
acceptance.
Recreational activities, sporting
events and cultural extravaganza-
The Junoon Night are organized to
cherish the aspirations of young
minds with different abilities.
Blood Donation Camp
An annual venture with IRSC, New
Delhi attracts a huge number of
voluntary donors from among the
local residents as well as students
and faculty.
Numbers as high as 900+ have been
reached

14. Shop For a Smile
Each year a stall is set up during BITS
Pilani's cultural festival, Oasis.
A variety of products made by rural
women and specially-abled, procured
by NGOs are kept on sale.
Lend Your Voice
Held in collaboration with Project
Awaaz during OASIS' 19, recorded
400+ Audiobooks for visually
impaired children
530+ people formally pledged to
donate their eyes.

15. Udaan
Udaan is our cultural function where
students showcase their talents and
hobbies. The event is an excellent way
of spreading happiness among
children, their parents and ourselves.
Sports Day
NSS BITS Pilani organizes a sports day for
the children not as fortunate as we are to
help them learn sportsman-spirit and
enjoy.

16. Education
NSS School works towards making quality
education and holistic development available
even to those restricted by social-economic
boundaries.
Computer Literacy Programme strives to
make the basic knowledge of computers
accessible to interested people in the
neighboring villages who aren't privileged to
pursue such education independently.
English and Personality Development aims to
implant the seed of proper etiquette and
upbeat personality in students. It also focuses
on improving spoken and written English.

17. Other Initiatives
Project Umang believes in shaping and
nurturing more young minds by providing
scholarships to needy and meritorious
students and offering counseling to
students and organizing various sessions.
Health and Public Awareness works for
spreading awareness among people on
various delicate issues and social
problems. It also arranges several
medical camps to prevent and limit
health issues in the society.
Parishodh aims to identify social,
environmental problems and needs of
marginalized and design and innovate
practical and affordable solutions to
these problems using science and
technology.
