The Mobile Diabetes Telemedicine Clinic is a health service that provides diabetes education, assessments, and support to First Nations people living in Northern BC. Nurses with specialty training in diabetes travel across the region, meeting one-on-one with patients to help them understand diabetes, gain control of it, and prevent problems linked to the disease through screening, education, and teamwork. The clinic aims to improve access to healthcare for First Nations communities who have an increased risk of uncontrolled diabetes but limited access to services.

The Health Equalities Framework (HEF) provides a standardized tool to measure outcomes for people with learning disabilities. It can be used by family carers, professionals, and services to agree priorities, monitor outcomes, and determine the impact of care. The HEF evaluates factors like diet, exercise, behavior, and access to services. Scores are given for indicators, and actions are planned to improve problem areas. By re-evaluating over time, the tool can assess whether outcomes have changed with the implemented actions. The HEF is intended to facilitate shared understanding and decision-making between all parties involved in a person's care.

1. The USAID ASSIST project is working in the Mewat district of Haryana to improve reproductive health for the Meo scheduled tribe. Fewer than 20% of women in one village were accessing institutional deliveries due to rumors about male doctors and poor treatment.
2. To address this, a quality improvement team organized an exposure visit to a community health center for pregnant women, families, and frontline health workers. The visit aimed to demonstrate that deliveries are conducted respectfully by female staff.

Hypotension, or low blood pressure, is when the pressure of blood circulating in the body is lower than normal or expected. It's only a problem if it negatively impacts the body and causes symptoms. Normal blood pressure is usually between 90/60 mmHg and 120/80 mmHg, but pressures below 90/60 are generally considered hypotensive.
