This document summarizes community outreach efforts in Lilongwe, Malawi to address HIV/AIDS. It notes that while HIV rates have decreased, adherence to treatment is inconsistent, resulting in resistance. It then describes a community center that was started to improve adherence through support groups, clubs, counseling and testing in order to help patients live full and healthy lives. Statistics are provided showing significant community participation and decreasing hospital admissions, indicating the program's positive impact.
