Mrs. Rehana has been experiencing pain in her right lower abdomen for the past 6 months. An ultrasound revealed a large cystic mass filling half her abdomen, causing obstructive uropathy and ascites. A CT scan showed a large complex pelvic mass measuring 130 x 180 x 156 mm that was entrapping her left ureter. The mass was suspected to be an ovarian malignancy based on its appearance and compression of her rectum.

2. • Pain in right lower abdomen for last 6 months
• Pain is generalized in nature radiate to back as well
• Last child born about 2 years back
• No significant medical or surgical history as well

3. • Ultrasonography of patient was done and it revealed
there is a cystic mass filling almost half of the abdomen
with obstructive uropathy and ascites
• Uterus is not clearly visualized due to mass

9. • Liver measures 174mm in CC appears relatively low
attenuating (100HU) even after i/v contrast indicating
generalized fatty hepatic infiltration and shows no
evidence of biliary dilation
• A low attenuating focus measuring 17x16mm is noticed
extending in left hepatic lobe. There is presence of large
complex pelvic abdominal mass (cystic solid) is noticed.
The mass measures 130 x 180 x 156 (AP x Trvs x cc).
The mass is causing entrapment of left ureter with
obstructive uropathy. Presence of bulky retroperitoneal
aenopathy measuring 27 x 87 x 116mm is also noticed.

10. • Prsence of mild omental thickening and mild ascites is
also evident
• The apearance is compatible with ovarian malignancy.
The adenexal mass in the pelvis causing compression of
rectum as well
• Rest of ct reveals no positive findings
