CASE STUDY *70: A 27-year-old black male construction worker suddenly experienced fatigue, anorexia, fever, headaches and intermittent nausea and vomiting. Three or 4 days later he noticed dark urine. He denied a previous history of hepatitis, liver disease, exposure to jaundiced individuals, IV drug use or alcohol abuse. He had not received any recent injections, transfusions or tattoos. He was heterosexual and had several recent sexual contacts, all believed to be in good health. 70.
