Miranda and Elytte Barbour lured Troy LaFerrara to his death through a Craigslist ad for sex. They met with LaFerrara and drove him to another location, where Miranda stabbed him 20 times as Elytte strangled him with a cord. The couple then cleaned their vehicle and went to dinner. Both were found guilty of second-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison. Miranda had claimed she was in a satanic cult and responsible for over 20 other murders, but investigators found no evidence to support this.

Marijuana legalization is a tricky subject: Nearly half of Americans have tried marijuana, and a growing percentage supports legalization, according to the Pew Research Center. So where does the crop of 2016 presidential candidates stand on the marijuana issue?
For years Toronto has seen its fair share of gang violence. But over the past decade, gang violence has been substantially higher and on a much more serious and public level. It has reached a point where the citizens of Toronto are consumed by the fear of being involved with gang violence. Has it become the new trend?

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

2. TROY LAFERRERA MURDER
Troy LaFerrara was a Port Trevorton, Pennsylvania man
murdered on November 11, 2013. Miranda Barbour and her
husband, Elytte Barbour, were found guilty and sentenced to life
in prison in September 2014.
The couple met Troy LaFerrara through an ad on Craigslist,
where she offered to have sex with him in exchange for
payment. Elyette has publicly denied that Miranda is a sex worker.
He said that she met men that paid her for "delightful
conversation." Miranda has stated that she agreed to meet
LaFerrara for sex, charging $100.
On November 11, 2013, Miranda allegedly met LaFerrara at
the Susquehanna Valley Mall parking lot in Hummels Wharf,
Pennsylvania. After settling on payment, Miranda and LaFerrara
then drove six miles to Sunbury, a small city located about 100
miles northwest of Philadelphia. Elyette Barbour told police that
he hid under a blanket in the backseat waiting. After she allowed
Laferrara into her vehicle, Miranda signaled to Elyette, who
jumped out and wrapped a cord around Laferrara's neck as
Miranda stabbed him 20 times in their Honda CRV. LaFerrara's
body was discovered the next day, November 12, 2013, in a
residential backyard in Sunbury.
3. Police said after Miranda and Elyette dumped
Laferrara's body, the couple then bought bleach wipes,
towels, and cleaning liquid to remove the blood from
inside the vehicle and then went to dinner. According
to the arrest affidavit, Elyette Barbour said the couple
killed Laferrara because they just wanted to murder
someone together. According to police, the Barbours
initially denied even knowing LaFerrara, but police
traced the last call from LaFerrara's phone to
Miranda’s phone. As the investigation developed, the
couple's stories allegedly changed from Miranda’s
story of self-defense to a mutual confession to
premeditated murder. The killing allegedly was a thrill
killing, timed for the couple's three-week wedding
anniversary, police have said.
4. Miranda Barbour, 19, and Elytte Barbour,
22, had previously pleaded not guilty to
first-degree murder charges that carried a
possible death penalty upon conviction.
They changed their pleas to guilty of
second-degree murder at what was to
have been a routine status conference in
Northumberland County Court in Sunbury.
5. MIRANDA BARBOUR
In an interview with The Daily Item, Miranda Barbour
claims she was molested by a relative at the age of four.
Barbour's mother, confirmed that Miranda's uncle was
charged with sexual abuse of a minor and sentenced to
14 years in prison. Barbour claimed that she joined
a satanic cult at the age of 13 and soon after, committed
her first murder when the cult leader forced her to shoot
a man indebted to their cult. She claimed to be
responsible for the deaths of "at least 22 people"
between 2008 and 2013.
A Northumberland County District Attorney told the Daily
Item that he was skeptical of Miranda's claims, saying
"We have been in contact with other law enforcement
agencies where she has lived and haven't received any
information verifying what she said." The Alaska State
Troopers released a statement saying they have no
evidence Barbour committed any murders during her
time in Alaska.
6. Miranda Barbour who is a self-concessed
satanic killer, started giving investigators
exact locations of her alleged crimes. FBI
agents are standing by to take action if the
details match up with unsolved murders.
Barbour has admitted that she has killed just
under 100 people, but owned up and said
she lost count at the 22 mark.
7.
8. ELYTTE BARBOUR
Elytte Barbour graduated from Triton High
School in 2010. He married Miranda (née
Dean) on October 22, 2013 when they
were residing in Dunn, North Carolina.
9.
10. On September 18, 2014, both were
sentenced to life without parole.
12. JACK
Jack’s character in Grim is very similar to Miranda
Barbour, Jack too feels that he’s doing good for
the greater good of mankind by eliminating sin
and all that is considered bad in the world. Jack
doesn't just target any random individual, in the
Grim story, five of his seven victims all commit
one of the ‘7 deadly sins’ and aren't too
concerned or empathetic about their actions.
Their neglect & nonchalance drive Jack crazy and
provoke him into killing the students. Trevor and
Billie (the final girl) just manage to catch him in
his act, and due to Jack not wanting anybody to
find out, he decides he has no choice but to hunt
them down and try kill them too.
