Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

Guardians of
the Galaxy
2. Guardians of the Galaxy
Marvel Studio’s president Kevin Feige, first mentioned the comic Guardians of the Galaxy to be
a potential film in 2010 San Diego Comic-con International.
Feige announced that the film was in active development at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con
International during the Marvel Studios panel, with an intended release date of August 2014. He
stated that the films titular team would consist of the characters Star-Lord, Drax the Destroyer,
Gamora, Groot, and Rocket Raccoon.
Nicole Perlman, who was enrolled in Marvels screenwriting program in 2009, was offered
several of their less important properties to base a screenplay on. Out of those, Perlman chose
Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning’s Guardian of the Galaxy, due to her interest in space and
science fiction. Perlman spent two years writing a draft, immersing herself in the Guardians
universe. In late 2011, Perlman was asked to create another draft, and in early 2012, James
Gunn was brought to contribute to the script. Gunn eventually rewrote the script entirely
because it didn't work for him. In December 2014, he revealed that the characters introductions
were the hardest scenes to crack, with Thanos’ introduction being the hardest.
September 2012 - James Gunn was confirmed that he would be directing the film and rewriting
the script.
3. Filming
In January 2013, filming was scheduled to take place at Shepparton Studios in London,
United Kingdom, and Marvel studios announced that the film would be released in 3D.
Victoria Alonso, an executive producer on the film, said that filming would begin in June, and
she also said that both Rocket Raccoon and Groot would be created through a combination
of CGI and motion capture.
In early April 2013, Zoe Saladana entered into negotiations to star as Gamora in the film,
which was confirmed later that month. Also in April, Micheal Rooker joined the film’s cast as
Yondu. By this point, Lee Pace was in final negotiations to play the villan of the film. In May,
Marvel offered John C. Reilly the role of Rhomann Dey, whilst filmmakers were looking at
actors such as Hugh Laurie, Alan Rickman, and Ken Watanabe, for another role. A few days
later, Glenn Close was cast as the head of the Nova Corps in the film, followed shortly by
the casting of Karen Gillan as the film’s lead female villain.
Principal photography began around July 6th, 2013 in London, under the working title of Full
Tily. Filming took place at shepperton Studios and Longcross studios. On August 11th,
2013, filming began at London’s millennium bridge.

In its sixth weekend, Guardians of the Galaxy was playing in 69 territories, its most.
At Disney's D23 Expo in August 2013, Feige presented footage first revealed at the San
Diego Comic-Con in July 2013. The first trailer for the film debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
on February 18, 2014, with a special introduction by Chris Pratt.

Theory Of
Everything
6. Screenwriter Anthony McCarten had been interested in Hawking since reading his seminal book
A Brief History of Time in 1988. In 2004, McCarten read Jane Hawking's memoir Travelling to
Infinity: My Life with Stephen and subsequently began writing a screenplay adaptation of the
book with no guarantees in place. He met numerous times with Jane at her home to discuss the
project. After multiple drafts, he was introduced in 2009 to producer Lisa Bruce via their mutual
ICM agent, Craig Bernstein
Theory Of Everything
Bruce spent three years with McCarten further convincing Jane Hawking to agree to a film
adaptation of her book, with Bruce stating, "It was a lot of conversation, many glasses of sherry,
and many pots of tea.” On 18 April 2013, James Marsh was confirmed to direct the film with the
shooting being based in Cambridge and at other locations in the United Kingdom, with Eddie
Redmayne courted to fill the male lead of the piece. On 23 June 2013, it was revealed that
Felicity Jones was confirmed to play the film's female lead role opposite Redmayne.[12][13] On 8
October 2013, it was confirmed that Emily Watson and David Thewlis had joined the cast,[14] and
that Working Title's Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Lisa Bruce, and Anthony McCarten would be
producing the piece.[15]
7. The Theory of Everything premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on 7 September
2014, where it opened in the official sidebar section, Special Presentations.
On 10 April 2014, Focus Features got the distribution rights to The Theory of Everything in the
United States, with the plan of a 2014 limited theatrical release. Shortly after, Entertainment One
Films picked up the Canadian distribution rights. The first trailer of the film was released on 7
August 2014. On 8 October 2013, Universal Pictures International had got the rights to distribute
the film internationally.
The film had a limited release in the United States on 7 November 2014, expanded in successive
weeks to Taiwan, Austria, and Germany, ahead of a United Kingdom release on 1 January 2015,
before being released throughout Europe.

8. Box Office
The film had a North American limited release on 7 November 2014; it was released in five theatres and
earned $207,000 on its opening weekend, for an average of $41,400 per theatre. Focus's head of
distribution Jim Orr said, "We are very, very pleased," he added, "It's resonating with audiences and the
surveys we conducted showed that the film played very well across all demographics. It has
outstanding performances with great direction by James Marsh. I believe the performances, the film
itself and the director will be getting Academy attention." The film was then widely released on 26
November across 802 theatres, earning $5 million and debuting at number 7 at the Box Office. During
its five-day Thanksgiving week, the film earned $6.4 million. As of 25 January 2015, the film has earned

9. Synergy - When the interaction of two forces working together creates a greater effect than the sum
of their individual efforts. It is the way of which different elements of media conglomerate work
together to promote linked products across all media. This helps the promoting process and getting
media out to a large audience.
Synergy
Technological Convergence
As technology changes, this is when different technological systems begin to evolve towards
preforming similar tasks to other devices. The distinction between devices are becoming less
noticeable, and as the delivery of content is starting to resemble one another.
10. Piracy - the illegal distribution of media without permission of
its owner. e.g. downloading, pirate DVDs
Advances in digital technology have made piracy easier,
cheaper, and the quality has improved
Electronic files can be leaked in advance of films release
