A 52-year-old Caucasian male presented with a history of GERD and pneumonia in 1994. He quit smoking 20 years ago and was told he needed treatment for gum disease. Clinical attachment level ranged from 2-6mm and probing depth ranged from 1-6mm across sites, with bleeding on probing of 53%. Radiographic assessment was needed to determine bone loss and furcation involvement.
