There is conflicting evidence on the relationship between computer use and carpal tunnel syndrome. While some studies have found an association between repetitive motions involved in extensive computer use and carpal tunnel syndrome, other studies have found no increased risk from computer use alone. Proper ergonomics, posture, equipment, training, and exercises can help prevent overuse injuries and muscle imbalances that may lead to carpal tunnel syndrome, regardless of computer use.
