Harvard Business Case Study on Mountain Man Brewing CompanySankalp Agarwal
This is a case study and analysis conducted on one of the Harvard Business School Cases - Mountain Man Brewing Company: Bringing The Brand To Light.
Chris Prangel, a recent MBA graduate, has returned home to West Virginia to manage the marketing operations of the Mountain Man Beer Company, a family-owned business he stands to inherit in five years. Mountain Man brews just one beer, Mountain Man Lager, also known as "West Virginia's beer" and popular among blue-collar workers. Due to changes in beer drinkers' taste preferences, the company is now experiencing declining sales for the first time in its history. In response, Chris wants to launch Mountain Man Light, a "light beer" formulation of Mountain Man Lager, in the hope of attracting younger drinkers to the brand. However, he encounters resistance from senior managers. Mountain Man Lager's brand equity is a key asset for Mountain Man Brewing Company. The question is whether Mountain Man Light will enhance it, detract from it, or irreversibly damage it.
This presentation was made for educational purpose of Product and Brand Management. The survey/stats used for presentation is not represent India or Asian countries...
Beer market is getting stagnated, no new strategies and products are coming up, this is my take on applying principles of Marketing to revive this brand and try a different positioning
This was a project that my team - which I am very proud of - did for a business school case competition. I took charge of conceptualizing, designing and producing the final deck of slides for presentation to our client from AB-InBev -- all within 24 hours! We delivered a great presentation and impressed the judges enough to achieve an outstanding team score. I hope you will enjoy viewing the slides as much as I did putting them together. And, if you ever find yourself in need of help to put together a professional slide presentation, remember to reach out to me -- I'd be more than happy to lend my expertise !
p.s. Thanks for the love, everyone. I'm excited to see my slides go viral within a day! Great if you could post your comments on this wall or email to francisfoo@wustl.edu.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

Carlsberg group
1.
2. ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Carlsberg group is a Danish brewing company founded in 1847 by J.C
Jacobsen.
The company's first headquarters were located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
After merging with the brewery assets of Norwegian conglomerate Orkla
ASA in January 2001, Carlsberg became the fifth largest brewery group in the
world. It is the leading beer seller in Russia with about a 40 percent share of
the market. In 2009 Carlsberg ranked fourth worldwide, and employed around
45,000 people.
The company's flagship brand is Carlsberg Beer (named after Jacobsen's
son Carl) but it also brews Tuborg, Kronenbourg, Somersby cider, Russia's best
selling beer Baltika, Belgian Grimbergen abbey beers, and more than 500
local beers.

5. BEER BAN CAUSES CARLSBERG STAFF STRIKE
IN COPENHAGEN
• Hundreds of staff at Carlsberg have gone on strike after a ‘beer ban’ was
imposed by bosses at the factory in Copenhagen.
• The strike follows the company’s decision to limit drinking to lunch breaks
only.
• Jens Bekke, spokesman, said that drivers retained a right to three beers per
day outside lunch hours and that warehouse employees claimed the same
right.
• ‘There has been free beer, water and soft drinks everywhere
• ‘Yesterday, beers were removed from all refrigerators. The only place you
can get a beer in future is in the canteen, at lunch.’
• ‘Because of that, the warehouse staff went on strike yesterday, with other
staff striking in sympathy,’ he said.
• He stated that Carlsberg shipments from Copenhagen would not occur on
Thursday and that delays would occur in the rest of the country.
• Carlsberg’s trucks are fitted with alcohol locks, preventing drivers from
drink-driving.
6. HOW ICT TRANSFORMED CARLSBERG?
Before ICT, the company had poor communication in which they faced the
lack of networking or promoting their products. So after ICT came, they were
able to promote and communicate worldwide.
The company now sells the best beer in the world because of the ICT system.
7. THE BENEFITS OF THE ICT SYSTEM
Productivity: With new technology, productivity should be increased as some
activities will be speeded up.
Quality and accuracy: Machines are capable of producing the same standard
of product over and over again, which reduces human error and therefore
reducing waste or errors.
Lower labour costs: Machines and technology can replace some human tasks,
and over time this will make some employees redundant. This saves the
business paying wages for labour.
Communications: Through new technology such as email and video-
conferencing, communications will be improved within a business and also to
external customers. Communication between branches or even between
countries will be improved.
