5. CLASSIC BRANDING NEXT TO
MODERN VERSION
• Evolution helps brands stay fresh and relevant. By looking at the logo, packaging,
product and advertising design of a brand – comparing their early branding iterations
with the latest version – we get a clear picture of what has changed and what has
stayed the same over a period of time. This can help us understand how a brands
values and target market have remained consistent or evolved over time. It gives us an
historical snapshot of what was fashionable and popular during a particular period of
time and it reveals major trends and developments in branding.

10. WHAT IS VINTAGE?
• Vintage, it’s a word that has exploded in recent times. Originally, the word was used in
relation to fine wine and the year it was produced. However these days, the word has
attached itself to a vast assortment of things – clothing, hairstyles, housewares,
furniture, you name it.
11. • If antiques are things that are 100 years old or older, what are vintage pieces? The
definition of vintage is trickier. According to Merriam Webster, the term vintage relates
primarily to wine and is an altered form of the French word vendange, meaning "the
grapes picked during a season."
12. • Vintage has several different accepted meanings, and that can cause confusion. The
loosest meaning implies that the item is of a fashion that was popular in a different
era. Used in this sense, "vintage" may not even mean that it was produced in that era,
but simply that it mimics the fashions of that era. This can cause trouble, because most
people expect the term to mean something more when applied to something that is
being bought or sold.
14. WHAT IS ANTIQUE
• Another point of frequent confusion is the use of the term antique. I often see the
words antique and vintage used interchangeably, however this is not the case. To be
considered an antique, a piece should be at least 100 years old.
• An antique is an old collectable item. It is collected or desirable because of its age,
beauty, rarity, condition, utility, personal emotional connection, and/or other unique
features. It is an object that represents a previous era or time period in human society.
15. DO THE TERMS VINTAGE AND
ANTIQUE HAVE THE SAME MEANING?
• NO, they are totally different.
• A vintage is an item which has noted information about its production, year of
production and its owner.
• Example : seeing a sword, you can depict that it belongs to The Mughal Age, used by
Akbar in the battle of Panipat.
• And, antique is any old object found without any noted information about it’s origin.
And sometimes it can be duplicate as well.
