Usually, the only way to determine quantity of piece goods is tally of
cargo while discharging or loading. AIM Control has staff of
independent tallymen who performs professional tally of all types of
cargo. In the process of tally AIM Control provides our client or his representative (chief officer
of vessel, supercargo, agent) with cargo tally sheets, daily reports, which contain quantitative

a. Loading supervision
The purpose of loading supervision is to provide services of the loading of cargo in bags
standard for the safe goods, loading operation of the ship and for damage and/or loss
prevention
The following is recommendations for on loading rice in bags operation by our marine
surveyors, shipping supervisors.
The ship’s technical, cargo holds/ hatch covers condition:
- Ship’s cargo holds/ hatch covers should be met pre-loading survey requirement that will be
carried out by appointed/and taking part our surveyors to identify the suitable before loading.
Dunnage and stowage arrangement:
- Supervise to the dunnage materials must be laid corrosive on the tank top, around the
frames of bulkheads, ship-sides before loading with bam boo sticks and then covered by

bamboo mats and must be free from dusty and strange odour or insects.
- Supervise to cargo in bags must be orderly stowed with bag on bag in to cargo blocks with
enough approved ventilation channels distance 25 cm to 30 cm, and then got a higher 05
bags by 05 bags each bag laid corrosive two cargo blocks 05 metres to separating from each
other.
- Supervise to cargo in bags must be loaded far away from engine-bulkhead to prevent any
damage caused by heating, and from the top of coaming and hatch covers with enough
distance 50 cm to 60 cm.
- Our supervisors and surveyors are to identify torn bags, damaged bags, wet, moisture,
shortage bags, to reject to barges and lighters of sellers.
b. discharging supervision and inspection
The purpose of discharging supervision and inspection are to identify condition of cargo
before discharging, during unloading, and at the time of completed discharging for
loss/damage prevention as well Cargo Outturn Report (C.O.R), Report On Receipt of Cargo
(ROROC).

- The loading inspection covers quality verification, the quantity checking, the packing list

When to inspect/survey/supervise on loading?
With the Containers (CLI), loading inspection also is called Container Loading Supervision,
will take place right before the vendor / factory / manufacturer is supposed to load the goods
inside the container and also during the loading process.
With the Vessel/Ship (SLS), loading survey is also called Ship Loading Supervision, will take
place right before the PORT and STEVEDORE is supposed to load the goods into the holds
of ship/vessel and also during the loading process.

Our inspectors and surveyors will reach factories, warehouse, ports or loading place to check
product's information, quality, and package when loading, supervise the whole loading
process and help manufacturer finish loading under correct and clear working clauses and
working process:
1. Record the weather/arrival time of container/container no./truck no.
2. Check the inner and outer condition to see whether there is any damage/wet/hole/peculiar
smell, leaking . . .
3. Check (tally) the quantity of goods loaded and record the condition of outer packaging
(master cartons/pallets)
4. Randomly draw and open some cartons to verify that the goods meet with customer's
specification
5. Supervise the whole loading process and take photos in details
6. Check lasing, securing cargo inner of container step by step from a first time of loading until
a completed time loading

Loading quantity tallying services for The goods containers
The inspector takes a time and examines the container. If he sees potential leaks or other
issues, he should report it immediately and (if possible) ask for another container
The handling and the loading process
The inspector supervises the loading. The buyer might have sent a loading plan, or some
simple directives (e.g. “the heaviest cartons/bags at the bottom”).
He also makes sure the factory workers try to make all cartons/bags fit nicely in the
containers. Sometimes they don’t take this pain, and they end up pushing (and crushing)
cartons/bags with a forklift, sling, crane…
The sealing
The inspector verifies that a proper seal closes the container before the products are driven
away from the factory. It also protects the exporter (under FOB or EXW terms), as it clarifies
the responsibility of the forwarder. (not used for ship’s holds due to ventilation)

A. The Pre-loading survey is consisted of steps:
1. General Information Identifying:
Our surveyor will identify the Name of vessel, Port of survey/country, Date of survey, Type of
cargo, Quantity, Port of loading/country, Port of destination/country.
2. Documentation Identifying:
Our surveyor will collect Ship’s Particulars, last testing of hatch covers certificate, Class
Certificates and documents, previous cargoes.
3. Hatcher Covers Watertight Witness:
Our surveyor will carry out a witness and visual checking the water hose test to identify the
Hatcher covers is watertight condition (without leaking of water). Also checking coamings,
rubber gaskets, compression bars, drain channels and drain pipes/valves, securing
devices/cleats, securing devices/cleats, tape on panels.
4. Cargo Compartments Condition Inspection:
Our surveyor will carry out a visual inspections of holds and bilges are in free of loose rust and
paint scales, clean – free of excreta of rodents, free of smell, free of live or dead infestation,
free of any sharp obstructions, free smell and free insects, and fittings in case of bagged
cargo to suitable for grab discharge in case of bulk cargo.

CONTAINER INSPECTION - CARGO VERIFICATION - VESSEL SURVEY
Cargo inspectors and/or surveyors examine cargo description from shipping documents and
select containers or vessels, ships to inspect, before delivery. These inspectors or surveyors
then ensure that the cargo matches the description in the documentation as such specification
of cargoes. When wrongly rated cargoes/containers or vessels, ships are identify and found in
unsuitable condition and different from/to indented use, the consultancies of inspectors and

We also provide cargo surveys relating to damages occurring during transportation. Our
principals here include insurance companies, underwriters and P&I Clubs. In these surveys
we analyse the cause of the damage as well as the liability, extent of damage &/or loss.
Particular attention is also given to the packing condition and stowage in containers, vessel’s
holds.
Other services offered include investigation of theft, recovery actions where applicable,
estimated and damage evaluation for yachts and other boats, and finally the act of loss-
