1) Carbonsoft is developing an open financial platform to distribute solar lights across multiple countries in Africa. 2) The platform will register as a programmatic CDM project to generate carbon credits that will be shared with distributors and retailers to help reduce the price of solar lights. 3) By replacing kerosene usage with solar lights, the platform aims to improve health, reduce costs, and create local jobs while earning income from carbon credits.
